Personality[]
Dandelion is an ambitious person who dreamed of ruling the Grand Line. He is not above using dirty tactics, such as lying to people to gain their trust and cooperation or shooting someone in the back while they are fighting someone else. According to Mirage, Dandelion's group is based on mutual benefit rather camaraderie. He is quite cruel as he destroyed Pokori's beloved ship in order to rid him of "attachments". He can be overconfident and reckless as shown when he shot a cannon at his own battleship, causing it to sink.[1]
Abilities and Powers[]
As the leader of Flower Angel, Dandelion has authority over all of the group's forces. Mirage talked highly of Dandelion's strength in combat, claiming that the Straw Hat Pirates stood no chance against him. However, he was eventually defeated by said crew.
He briefly had command of a massive battleship feared for its power.[1]
Weapons[]
Dandelion's main weapon is a harmonica gun which can shoot various projectiles in addition to regular bullets, such as a blades.[1]
History[]
Past[]
Sometime in the past, Dandelion gained possession of a book that detailed a massive armed ship built in the past. The ship had been sunk by its creators due to its power, but Dandelion planned to salvage it and use it to dominate the Grand Line.[1]
Grand Line Dream Adventure Log[]
Dandelion arrived at the coast of Croissant Island with a fleet of ships shortly after the Straw Hat Pirates had departed. Surrounding the "Crescent Rock" which was actually part of a massive sunken battleship, Dandelion's Flower Angel forces attempted to pull the ship back up to the surface. Dandelion convinced the young local shipwright Pokori that he was leading a research group whose goal was to study the ship. With the help of Pokori, the ship was salvaged and repaired. However, two things were needed to make the ship move: A Sennenryu and a "thoroughly hard object". Dandelion set out to claim these two parts to make the ship operational.
Dandelion traveled to Warship Island where the Straw Hat Pirates were fighting against the Arlong Pirates at "Arlong Park 2". He shot Arlong in the back while he was fighting Monkey D. Luffy, then stole a Sennenryu while his subordinate Mirage hypnotized the Straw Hats to prevent them from following.
Later, Dandelion's subordinates discovered the "thoroughly hard object", a giant metal axe, completing the necessary steps to activate the ship. Pokori stormed the giant battleship alone but was captured and brought to the bridge, where Dandelion tried to convince him to join forces in order to make use of Pokori's shipwright expertise. The Straw Hat Pirates soon raided the vessel and made their way to the bridge, where Dandelion confronted them. Dandelion reminded Pokori that the boy had originally helped salvage and repair the ship, stating that it was Pokori's "dream ship". Pokori refused to help Dandelion, so Dandelion aimed the battleship's cannons at Croissant Island and destroyed Pokori's own ship. Pokori then attempted to steer the battleship into a giant whirlpool, but Dandelion beat him down. As Luffy resolved to destroy the battleship, Dandelion and his subordinates engaged the Straw Hats in combat. Upon being defeated, Dandelion aimed a cannon at the bridge itself and tried to destroy the Straw Hats in the explosion. The explosion destroyed the bridge, but the Straw Hats survived. Nami stated that the battleship was going to sink as a result of the impact, but Dandelion refused to believe this and fought against the Straw Hats again. After Dandelion was defeated a second time, the Straw Hats escaped the sinking battleship on the Going Merry. Refusing to lose, Dandelion aimed the battleship's cannons at the Merry, but Pokori had exchanged the explosives for fireworks, preventing Dandelion's attack.[1]
