Dejide is an vengeful person, attacking the Straw Hat Pirates as soon as he recognized them due to their actions in the Donquixote Pirates destruction.

Dejide was hiding on the second floor New Royal Plateau when he was approached by the Straw Hat Pirates. After recognizing them, he attacked, intending to get revenge for the Donquixote Pirates' destruction. However, he was swiftly defeated, and was forced to reveal Nerine's location.
