"Completely Surrounded! The Operation to Escape Egghead" is the 1124th episode of the One Piece anime.
Short Summary[]
After Luffy attempts to force a deal for the Marines to allow the Straw Hat Pirates to leave Egghead, both groups plan their next move. However, when Lucci secretly leaks information on Egghead's current status, it allows the Marines to begin their attack, with Kizaru heading in and targeting Sentomaru first.
Long Summary[]
Having captured York, Luffy speaks with the Five Elders via York's Den Den Mushi, trying to force a deal. He demands to be allowed to escape Egghead with Vegapunk, sparing York's life in the process. Robin stops the call abruptly after Luffy nearly reveals that some of his crew members are injured. After the call ends, the Straw Hats send food to the captured agents in the basement, where they have also captured the four Seraphim in bubbles. S-Snake reveals she reversed Franky's petrification because she fell in love with Luffy, just like Hancock.
The Straw Hats begin to plan their escape; they plan to use a spaceship to escape Egghead's airspace, then use the Thousand Sunny's Coup de Burst to launch themselves out of sight of the Marines and toward Elbaph. However, York has secured the Frontier Dome, preventing them from escaping the Labophase. As York refuses to share the code with them, Vegapunk, Atlas, and Edison attempt to crack it to begin the escape operation.
However, Lucci privately leaks information to the Five Elders, revealing that the Straw Hats are trapped in the Frontier Dome, so the Marines are free to attack the Fabiriophase. They advance toward the shore, aiming the artillery at the Sea Beast Weapons, and Sentomaru prepares the Pacifistas for defense. Kizaru, being made of light, learns he can bypass the Frontier Dome. However, out of honour, he chooses not to until he faces Sentomaru, and the two begin battle. The Straw Hats notice the light produced by the attack and fear their enemy forces.

Anime Notes[]
- The anime features a number of differences from the manga, all pertaining to information originally left unexplained:
- Robin is shown using her Devil Fruit power to silence Luffy during the call with the Five Elders.
- In addition, a scene was added to showcase Kaku receiving his injuries by saving Nico Robin, Tony Tony Chopper, Vegapunk and Atlas from the Seraphim.
- While the manga left it ambiguous as to how the Straw Hats managed to defeat and contain most of the Seraphim, the anime explicitly pinned Nami as the one to contain all Seraphim, while Zoro managed to save Kaku from S-Bear and S-Hawk.
- The anime revealed that it was Robin who managed to catch and subdue York before she could kill Stella, as the manga left it vague as to who effectively captured York.
- The anime shows Nami capture S-Shark after its fight with Sanji.

- This is the second episode of the latter half of the Egghead Arc anime, and the first one to air in a regular timeslot following the special Saturday broadcast of Episode 1123.
