"Leaving the Dadan Family!? The Secret Base is Complete!" is the 497th episode of the One Piece anime.
Short Summary[]
Luffy, Ace, and Sabo were going about their usual mischief until Garp turned up and attacked them for still wanting to be pirates. The brothers decided that they would have to run, or Garp would kill them the next day. During the night, they ran and ended up sleeping under a tree. In the morning, they decided to build a hideout, so they went to the Gray Terminal to get some materials. Once completed, their hideout looked like a pirate ship.

Anime Notes[]
- Dadan as a beautiful young lady, similar to what was shown in the One Piece Green Databook as "Dadan in her youth", was shown in Dadan's dream, although she looks a bit more friendly in the anime.
- It is shown that the reason Ace, Sabo, and Luffy built a hideout is to hide from Garp, and that they got the materials for the hideout from the Gray Terminal.
- It is shown that Luffy is close to Makino, as displayed when Makino and Woop Slap visited him. When Luffy saw Makino, he immediately hugged her.
