Short Summary

Luffy continues his furious battle with Kaido. Despite his best efforts, the battle ends in Luffy's defeat from just one blow.

Anime Notes

• The anime adds the following:
  • Kaido does not transform back into his human form after Luffy's Elephant Gatling attack like in the manga. Instead, Kaido counters with a breath of wind.
  • Kaido spits fire balls at Luffy.
  • Luffy uses more Gear Third and Gear Fourth attacks on Kaido than in the manga.
  • After Kaido transforms back into his human form, Law tries to tell Luffy to run away.
  • Luffy being covered in an aura of fury.
  • Instead of Kaido charging through Luffy in a burst of speed, he receives a King Kong Gun to no effect.
  • When Kaido defeats Luffy, the anime shows Luffy blown back and crashing into a wall first.
  • Law escaping Hawkins is shown.
