Katorea is a town in the Arabasta Kingdom and the headquarters of the Rebel Army.[2]

Geography[]

Katorea was described by Vivi as an oasis.[2] In what is seen of Katorea, it has coconut trees and standard Arabastan architecture of rectangular buildings with some dome roofs.

Perfume is produced here and then is later shipped to Nanohana, a city to the west of Katorea that is famous for its perfume, to be sold.[citation needed]

Locations[]

Rebel Forces' Headquarters

The rebel forces' headquarters.

The only significant location is the headquarters of the rebel army. This is where Koza and his comrades met to conspire against Nefertari Cobra and the Royal Army. Their headquarters are set up in tents and are fenced in from the rest of the city.

Residents[]

The only known residents of Katorea are the members of the rebel army.

History[]

Past[]

After Yuba fell into ruins, Katorea became the Rebel Army's headquarters.[2]

Arabasta Arc[]

When the Straw Hat Pirates arrived in Yuba, Toto begged Vivi to travel to Katorea to stop Koza and his army.[1] To keep his plans to take over Arabasta in place, Crocodile demanded that his subordinates stop Vivi from reaching Katorea.[3] Before they could be stopped, Luffy realized the futility of trying to stop the rebels and instead led his crew to Rainbase.[4]

At the Rebel Army's base, Kappa demanded to join the rebellion but was denied by Koza. After he left, Koza told his troops their plan to attack Alubarna as soon as they had enough weapons.[5] Koza and the rebels left Katorea quickly when they head about "King Cobra" plans to sacrifice Nanohana.[6]
