Hey. I was wondering, wouldn't it be better to use only the Vivre Card data book as a reference on characters pages, instead of several from different sources (the manga, SBS, site, other detabooks) to minimize to amount of references? I looked at the guidebook, and nowhere does it say we must use the first source that provide that information. Further more, some characters have multiple references on their birthday section on the infobox, with the calendar from SBS 79 being the more common one, so would it really be against any rule to use one source instead of several to give the same information?
Now let me clarify two things:
- I'm taking mainly about a character's profile. For the history section It is best to use the manga and state the page(s) and corresponding episode(s)
- Any conflicting information should be discussed case by case, like we've doing so far in cases like with Viola's birthday.
Since the SBS birthday calendar is higher on the canon tier than databooks like Vivre Card, I would rather use that as the reference. If a piece of information has already been given in an SBS or databook, then there's no need to double reference it with Vivre Card. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 13:22, September 17, 2018 (UTC)
No one saying their are, but if the same information is given, what's the difference? Is the information less correct because it came from a source with a lower canonicity status? No. Will the pages have less references? Yes. Is that preferable? Yes. It's not like we replaced every character with a birthday given in Blue Deep with the source of the SBS 79 Calendar, so again, and please someone try to answer this, what's the difference?
