One Piece Wiki

Furrari[2] is the king of the Nagagutsu Kingdom and one of fifty monarchs who took part in the Levely.[2] He is the father of Tritobu.[1]

Appearance[]

Furrari is a stocky, elderly man with a wide face accentuated by high cheekbones and a broad, pronounced nose. His black eyes are small comparatively to his other features. His pale blond hair falls in thick, wavy locks past his shoulders and his similarly-colored mustache extends outward in thick tufts around his mouth.

Furrari dons a sharply tailored dark suit with a white dress shirt underneath. His attire is complemented with some accessories: a vivid red-and-gold bolo tie with three circular ornaments clasped at the throat and a sunburst-shaped brooch on the left side of his suit's lapel. He also wears a black fedora with a gray band, whose top resembles a miniature castle. He is frequently seen with a cigar clenched tightly in his mouth.

Two additional color schemes for Furrari appear in the anime. In the first variation, his suit shifts to a soft tan hue. His shirt remains white, but his tie and hat are now a solid black, the latter lacking its castle-like top. His hair, while still flowing in pale waves, appears tinged with a hint of silver-blue. His mustache is also black, with thicker, rugged tufts descending around his mouth and off his jawline. He also appears to have a stitch scar on his chin.

In the second version, he sports a tan coat underneath which he wears a lavender vest over a light shirt, secured by a sky-blue and orange circular clasp. Around his neck hangs a large necklace of red beads. His mustache is black and perhaps even thicker in this version. His hat also remains black, but its castle-like adornment returns, with a green band with gold studs below.

Personality[]

Like many others, Furrari admired the mermaid princess Shirahoshi, captivated by her beauty. Aware that several monarchs, such as King Jeep sought to win her favor through arranged courtships involving their heirs, Furrari too attempted to present his own son as a potential suitor. His pride appears easily offended—he became angry upon learning that Shirahoshi had rejected all her suitors, including his proposal.[1]

Furrari appears to be fairly argumentative and confrontational. This was particularly evident when he and King Ramen of Kano Country were shown bickering.[3]

Abilities and Powers[]

Furrari is the king of a nation affiliated with the World Government, and one of the select few granted the privilege to attend the Levely, which bestows upon him a degree of influence over the world's affairs.[1]

According to Monkey D. Garp's description of the Levely to Neptune, Furrari's nation appears to be relatively small and subservient to the whims of greater ones, like Chap's.[3]

History[]

Whole Cake Island Saga[]

Levely Arc[]

At the Socializing Plaza, Furrari noticed Jeep attempting to pair his son, Wheel, with Shirahoshi, only to interrupt them both in an effort to introduce his own son as well. However, Shirahoshi rejected all of her suitors, causing Jeep to voice his displeasure, claiming she had embarrassed them. This led to Fukaboshi hurriedly trying to calm the royals to avoid further hurting their egos and prevent the situation from escalating into a larger incident.[1]

When the Levely finally commenced, Furrari was seated next to Mororon.[1]

Wano Country Saga[]

Wano Country Arc[]

As recounted by Garp, while he was describing the events of the Levely to Neptune, it appears that Furrari was embroiled in an argument with Ramen at one point, with Chap and Sauce fueling the conflict from the sidelines.[3]

Anime and Manga Differences[]

The anime slightly modified the scene in which Garp recounts the events of the Levely. During Furrari's verbal confrontation with Ramen, Chap was briefly shown silently pressuring him from the sidelines.

Trivia[]

  • Like Jeep, Furrari's name may be based on an automobile brand: the Italian manufacturer Ferrari.
