The Gabu Gabu no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that makes the user a Liquor Human (酒人間, Sake Ningen?, VIZ: "Booze-Man"). It was eaten by Vasco Shot.[2]
Etymology[]
- Gabugabu (がぶがぶ?) is Japanese onomatopoeia for gulping down a drink, and gabunomi (がぶ飲み?) is a noun referring to the action.
Strengths and Weaknesses[]
The details of what abilities this Devil Fruit grants are currently unknown, but the user is subject to the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.
Usage[]
In combat, Shot uses this fruit to gulp down alcohol and then spit it out while igniting it, creating streams of fire.[1]
Techniques[]
- Shugo Roppu (
酒豪炉火 , Shugō Roppu?, literally meaning, "Heavy Drinker Hearthfire"): After gulping down alcohol, Shot spits it out and ignites it, creating a stream of fire that engulfs the target in flames. It was first used against Monkey D. Garp, who shielded himself with other pirates.[1] The name of the technique may be a pun on gozō roppu (五臓六腑?, "the five viscera and the six internal organs"), the concept of zang-fu in traditional Chinese medicine. In the VIZ manga, this is called Drunken Spitfire.
