Garride of the Rose is a member of the Drayke Pirates.[1]
Appearance[]
Garride is a normal sized man with fair skin, broad shoulders, and long, curly black hair. He wears a purple jacket with white patterning on it, a purple hat, purple pants, and a green frilled undershirt.
Personality[]
Garride is impatient, as he kicked down the door to Dias' house before Kaabo could give Dias and Atoli enough time to come out on their own.
Like many characters in One Piece, Garride has distinct laughs: "Kukuku" (クックック?) and "Fufufu."[1]
Abilities and Powers[]
Garride is decently strong, but when he and Kaabo fought against the Straw Hat Pirates, they were overwhelmed and forced to retreat.[1]
Weapons[]
Garride fights with a katar. He seems quite proficient at using it.[1]
History[]
Past[]
The Drayke Pirates invaded Silver Arrow Island. They captured Atoli and traveled to Loguetown, but when Atoli escaped, Garride and Kaabo followed her into the city.[1]
Legend of the Rainbow Island[]
Garride and Kaabo caught up to Atoli and demanded that she come with them. They were interrupted by Dias, who intervened. Garride and Kaabo warned Dias not to get involved, but after underestimated Dias, the two children were able to escape. They reconvened and followed Dias and Atoli, arriving at Dias' door. After Atoli refused to come out by her own volition, Garride kicked down the door and entered. They quickly noticed Dias' Fisherman's Emblem, and they asked instead that both children come with them to their ship rather than just Atoli. Dias fought back, and he and Atoli escaped to Loguetown's execution platform.
At the city's harbor, Garride and Kaabo intercepted Dias and Atoli again, who were now accompanied by the Straw Hat Pirates. Dias and the others fought back against them, and Garride and Kaabo were overwhelmed by the crew's strength and retreated.
After leaving Loguetown, Garride and Kaabo reported back to Drayke, revealing they lost Atoli but found the Fisherman's Emblem.
Sometime later, Garride and Kaabo made their way to Royal Sun Island, where they participated in the Royal Combat. They made it to the finals, where they were matched against Dias' group. After the Straw Hats intentionally lost, Garride and Kaabo celebrated their victory, and the participants were brought brought to see King Fist to personally receive their prizes. However, upon receiving a gold statue instead of the Emperor Carrot, Kaabo and Garride realized the Straw Hats had lost on purpose, and angrily left.
Now knowing where to get Emperor Carrot, Garride and Kaabo stole some of the herb and returned to the Drayke Pirates' ship. With the ingredients for the Ryuumonkou, the crew sailed to Rainbow Island.
After Atoli escaped her confinement with Dias, they were ambushed by the Drayke Pirates, Garride included. They immobilized the two kids and took Dias' Fisherman's Emblem, allowing Drayke to merge the three emblems together. He then ordered his executives to beat Dias to near death, which Garride did, and forced Atoli to tell him the Scripture. No longer needing Dias, Drayke ordered his subordinates to kill him, but they were interrupted by the Straw Hat Pirates.
The Straw Hats knocked back the executives one by one, forcing Drayke and them to retreat. As they ran, Drayke promised a reward to whichever lower-ranked subordinate defeated the Straw Hats, but they were quickly defeated. Pesca then convinced Drayke to retreat and get the Rainbow Eye, leaving the six executives to slow down the Straw Hats. Garride and Kaabo were the second duo to be defeated as the Straw Hats ran after Drayke.
After Drayke's defeat, Garride joined him and the other executives on a small raft leaving Rainbow Island.
