Gattenshochinosukeo is a muscular man. He has brown hair that is tied in a topknot, and a short mustache. He does not wear a shirt, but does wear blue hakama pants. On his right shoulder is a floral tattoo.[1]

Following Shimotsuki Yasuie's execution, the rebels decided on a change to the riddle image they were previously using. While assisting Franky at repairing ships for the upcoming Raid on Onigashima, Gattenshochinosukeo received a call from Kin'emon about the change, and would immediately understand the meaning behind it.[1]
Trivia[]
His name is derived from the colloquial expression gattenshōchinosuke (合点承知之助?, "got it; leave it to me") with the added suffix o (男?, "man"), referring to him acknowledging his understanding of Kin'emon's message.
