The unnamed girl[3] is a young Nami fan from the Sabaody Archipelago.
She acts as the protagonist of the anime's 25th anniversary special, One Piece Fan Letter.
Appearance[]

The girl before she began dressing like Nami.
The girl is a young girl with short orange hair, freckles, and green eyes. Despite being a teenager, she is very short in stature. Her clothes heavily resemble what Nami wore in her introduction, consisting of a white-and-blue striped shirt, a miniskirt with white rings on each side, brown, slightly-raised gladiator sandals, and blue and yellow hair clips. Notably, unlike Nami's skirt, the girl's is colored dark blue, and only has a single ring as opposed to two. She typically carries a brown sling bag, and wears glasses with a red rim.
Two years ago, before she was introduced to Nami, she wore a green dress and a white undershirt. She had yet to cut her hair, so it hung down to the middle of her back.
In P.S. Fan Letter, she wore what looked like school clothes: a white shirt with a dark t-shirt underneath, dark pants, white sneakers and a large shoulder bag.
Personality[]
The girl is an inspired, brave girl, and one who was not afraid to disregard and even impede the Marines for her goal. She has a self-admittedly Nami-inspired belief that she has to constantly struggle to achieve her goals no matter how weak or hurt she is, with the belief that she should live as freely as possible.
The girl's awe of Nami is such that she permanently dresses like her, further indicating a general disregard for the propagandized view of pirates spread by the World Government.
Relationships[]
Nami[]
The girl strongly admires Nami, to the point of designing her entire outfit around what Nami is known to wear. She attributes Nami's accomplishments to changing her own way of thinking, and believes that Nami showed her that one does not need Devil Fruit powers to have adventures, and that even a "powerless girl" like herself can live freely.
Marine Brothers[]
The girl is friendly with two Marine brothers who live on the Sabaody Archipelago. They are well-enough acquainted that she can act informally with them, and she felt comfortable enough to negotiate over an official Marine order with the older brother.
Abilities and Powers[]
The girl is fairly nimble, and able to make use of her small stature to easily slip between others; while without any formal training, she was able to board a Marine vessel and weave between its entire crew, only being caught once she got to the end of the ship. She was capable of slipping past even a Lieutenant Commander with relative ease. However, despite her quick footedness, she remains a young girl, and is physically weak.
She is also somewhat intelligent, correctly deducing the day the Straw Hats would reunite on the Sabaody Archipelago using Luffy's "3D2Y" message (albeit through flawed logic, as she incorrectly attributed his ringing of the Ox Bell to the spawning cycle of the Archipelago's sea cucumbers, and simply waited for their spawning day).[1]
History[]
Summit War Saga[]
Marineford Arc[]
The girl tried to push through a mob of people watching the Summit War. Feeling sick from the jostling, she happened to be pushed by Nami's wanted poster, discovering the pirate for the first time.[1]
Post-War Arc[]
The girl learned of Luffy's "3D2Y" stunt. Eventually, she interpreted this to mean his crew (including Nami) would reunite on the Sabaody Archipelago two years later.
Fish-Man Island Saga[]
Return to Sabaody Arc[]
Knowing of the upcoming return of the Straw Hats to the Archipelago, the girl wrote a letter to Nami, where she thanked the pirate for showing her that she should always struggle to live freely no matter how weak or trampled upon she may be. She decided to deliver the letter herself, and on the day of their return, she headed out to find them.
Before she got far, however, she was caught up in a crowd for Soul King's final concert. While she tried to escape, the crowd was attacked by Perona's ghosts, and the girl sank to the floor, depressed. Her wave of depression took hours to pass, causing her to lose most of the day; when it finally did, she frantically ran to find the Straw Hats, only to crash into a Marine acquaintance. She dropped her letter, but as the Marine mistook it for his own delivery, he collected it himself.
Wanting to reclaim her letter, the girl tried to follow him, only to bump into another Marine and drop her things. She was helped up by a passing stranger, who pointed her to a nearby bar the original Marine had entered. Sneaking in, the girl made her way under the table the Marine was sitting at. She grabbed the Marine's similar-looking letter, but was unable to reclaim her own letter as he received orders to apprehend the now-identified Straw Hats. Hearing his orders, the girl followed him to meet the pirates, only to get stuck in the middle of large-scale combat between pirates and Marines.
When she tried to escape, she was accosted by three pirates, but was saved by the original Marine's older brother. He brought her to safety in a nearby bookstore, but she demanded to be allowed to see Nami, eventually convincing him when he recalled his own admiration for Nami's captain, Luffy. As they ran towards the Straw Hats' meeting place, they were again attacked by Perona's ghost, which the girl managed to dodge. As the Marine did not, she tried to run ahead, but was stopped by the Marine who previously made her drop her belongings. While held, she realized the Marines are attempting to launch a new weapon, possibly powerful enough to kill the Straw Hats, and Nami along with them.
Suddenly, a bookstore employee and two children pushed past the Marine, freeing the girl. She ran to the Marines' nearby ship, planning to stop the weapon, and grabbed her letter from the original Marine's bag as she passed it. Seeing her, the other Marines believed she had stolen the passkey in the Marine's letter, and chased her around the ship; using the chaos, she evaded long enough for the Straw Hats to set sail, then ripped her own letter, allowing the Marines to realize they had kept the passkey the whole time.
Sometime later, the girl apologized to the two Marine brothers.[1]
Dressrosa Saga[]
Punk Hazard Arc[]
After her friend got stuck on a Yarukiman Mangrove tree root and was rescued by a Marine, the girl walked with her, learning about the story.[2]
Anime and Novel Differences[]
While One Piece Fan Letter is largely based on the novel Straw Hat Stories, the girl is completely unique to the special. In the original novel, her role is filled by a male hikikomori who collects wanted posters of beautiful women and is in love with Nami.[4]
Early Concepts[]
Like many characters from One Piece Fan Letter, the girl's first design was created as a Mii. Her face was inspired by Aisa, particularly Aisa's large eyes.[5]
