For Enel's followers, see God's Army.

The God's Knights are an order of knights in service of the World Government,[3] who act as the official law enforcers of the Holy Land of Mary Geoise, thus ranking above the Marines.[1] They have operated under the command of Saint Figarland Garling.[3]

Overview[]

The God's Knights count nine members at least,[2] with Saint Figarland Garling of the Figarland Family as their (potentially former) Supreme Commander (最高司令官, Saikō Shireikan?).[3] Thirty-eight years ago on God Valley, Garling was already part of the group,[4] and he along with his fellow Knights came to participate in the God Valley Incident.[5] With Garling's promotion to one of the Five Elders following the Egghead Incident,[6] it is currently unknown if Garling's commanding role is still in effect.

While the power collectively held by the God's Knights is still unknown, according to Sakazuki, their mere intervention in affairs to do with Mary Geoise is troublesome for the Marines. In particular, the God's Knights seem to hold jurisdiction over matters pertaining to disputes between World Nobles,[1] with (at least) their Supreme Commander Garling having the authority to carry out death sentences on fellow Nobles.[3]

Monkey D. Dragon and Emporio Ivankov have speculated that the God's Knights may be mobilized in response to the Revolutionary Army's harmful exploits against the World Government (namely, attacking its capital, declaring war, and destroying supply lines to Mary Geoise), and that the Knights may specifically target Sabo due to the latter being a new symbol of hope for uprising nations. This, according to Dragon, could mark the beginning of the real battle awaiting the Revolutionaries, thus hinting at the Knights' possible power.[2] Indeed, they are suggested to be capable of fighting fearsome pirates, as thirty-eight years ago on God Valley, Garling ordered marines to retreat and leave the fight against the pirate invaders to the God's Knights.[5]

  • A dark-haired young woman donning armor similar to Garling's.

History[]

Past[]

When the God's Knights were formed is unknown. However, they already existed 38 years ago, with Figarland Garling being already one of them by that time,[4] and they participated in what became known as the God Valley Incident.[5]

Wano Country Saga[]

Wano Country Arc[]

The God's Knights were involved in the aftermath of the Revolutionary Army's assault on Mary Geoise, taking over the investigation into the assassination attempt on Saint Charlos and the involvement of Mjosgard in the purported suspects' escape.[1]

Final Saga[]

Egghead Arc[]

Garling personally executed Mjosgard in the Domain of the Gods for the latter's treason.[3] Following the death of Jaygarcia Saturn, Garling was promoted to the position of Warrior God of Science and Defense within the Five Elders, leaving his status as a member of God's Knights unknown.[6]

Trivia[]

  • Other than the God's Knights, Mary Geoise employs a separate group of lesser, armor-clad knights who (i.a.) have been shown accompanying and serving World Nobles as guards, especially while away from Mary Geoise. Any connection between the two groups, if there at all, is yet unknown.
