Hilt is a blacksmith and an ally of the Straw Hat Pirates in Grand Line Dream Adventure Log.[1]

Hilt is a young boy with spiky black hair and a white hachimaki headband with the kanji 刀 ("sword; katana") written on the front. He wears a blue vest and a kimono-like shirt.
Personality[]
Hilt is brash person, venturing onto an island like Little Garden alone and trying to fight against an adult much more powerful than he is. He claimed to be in a "slump" because his work was not going well, but later admitted that he was merely running away. He holds great pride in his work and dislikes being called an amateur. He can be absent-minded at times.[1]
Abilities and Powers[]
Hilt is blacksmith specializing in weapons. He carries a set of smithing tools on his back, most prominently a hammer. His work was originally not going well, but after studying a weapon made by his ancestor and much trial and error, he was able to forge giant high-quality weapons for Dorry and Brogy.[1]
He does not have much skill in combat, although he managed to briefly hold back some dinosaurs.[1]

Hilt was born into family of blacksmiths and apprenticed in the craft himself. At one point, he grew frustrated because his work was not going well, so he followed a treasure map said to lead to treasure left by his ancestor. He made it to Little Garden, but was attacked by two tyrannosaurus rexes.[1]
Grand Line Dream Adventure Log[]
Hilt was saved by the Straw Hat Pirates who defeated the tyrannosauruses. He explained his situation to the crew and inadvertently blurted out the existence of the treasure. Nami then took his map and made him promise to share the treasure in exchange for cooperation. The group went to ask the giants Dorry and Brogy about the treasure, but were confronted by Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine. The Straw Hats defeated the duo, and Brogy directed the crew to the western cliff. The group arrived there but found no way to get past the cliff where the treasure was supposed to be, so they returned to the giants.
While the group was having a feast, Hilt went out relieve himself. However, he was captured by Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine who left a letter to the Straw Hats. At the western cliff, Hilt was tied to cliffside when the Straw Hats and the giants arrived. Mr. 5 forced the giants to dig at the cliff, and they discovered the treasure: giant legendary weapons left by Hilt's ancestor. Mr. 5 caused the cliff to crumble with his bomb ability, but the giants protected Hilt and the Straw Hats. Hilt furiously attacked Mr. 5 demanding him to return the weapons, but was beaten. Luffy then took over and defeated Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine. Soon after, Maasu appeared and stole one of the weapons, the axe, and escaped. The Straw Hats were forced to stay behind to tend to Hilt's injuries. After he regained consciousness, Hilt lamented what had happened, but Luffy told him not to worry. Hilt then decided to stay on Little Garden a while longer to study the other weapon, the sword, and to forge new weapons for the giants.
He eventually succeeded in creating new, high-quality weapons for Dorry and Brogy, and returned to his homeland.[1]
