Hoisassa[2] is a retainer of the Kurozumi Family.

Appearance[]

Hoisassa is an average-sized man with a human upper-body and a horse lower-body. He has brown hair tied in a topknot, with a prominent widows peak. He wears a white kimono with the Kurozumi Family crest sewn into the sides.[1]

Personality[]

Although he does not speak, it can be inferred from his demeanor that Hoisassa was obedient to Kurozumi Orochi, as he followed all of his orders without complaint.[1]

Abilities and Powers[]

Devil Fruit[]

As a Horse SMILE (ウマのSMILEスマイル, Uma no Sumairu?) user, Hoisassa's legs are replaced with those of a horse. This gives him great speed, and when combined with his upper-body strength, allows him to easily carry Orochi's carriage alongside his fellow servants with no issues.[1][2]

History[]

Wano Country Saga[]

Wano Country Arc[]

During Shimotsuki Yasuie's execution, Hoisassa carried Orochi's carriage.[1]

Trivia[]

  • His name is likely derived from the exclamation hoisassa (ほいさっさ?) meaning something like "heave-ho", fitting his role of carrying Orochi's palanquin. The kanji 左 in his name means "left", also fitting as he was on the left side of the palanquin.
