The Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform into a nine-tailed fox. It was eaten by Catarina Devon.^[1]

Etymology

"Inu" (犬^?) is Japanese for "dog".
The fox spirit or nine-tailed fox (九尾の狐, Kyūbi no Kitsune^?) is a mythical, magical fox entity originating from Chinese mythology, which is a common motif in various East Asian mythologies such as Japanese folklore.
In the Viz Manga, the fruit is called Dog-Dog Fruit, Mythical Type, Model "Nine-Tailed Fox".

Strengths and Weaknesses

The greatest strength of this fruit is that the user is also capable of transforming into other people, allowing them to impersonate them. The clothing of the target person can also be imitated during the transformation.^[1]

The fruit has no known weaknesses aside from the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.

Usage

Devon was seen using this ability to briefly impersonate the deceased Absalom and trick his comrade Gecko Moria.^[1]

Trivia

The "nine-tailed fox" (九尾の狐, Kyūbi no Kitsune^?) is a mythical spirit fox in Chinese, Indian, Japanese, and Korean cultures. One origin of the word "kitsune" is from a tale of a fox transforming into a woman every night.
As revealed in One Piece Green: Secret Pieces, Oda planned for the female member of the Blackbeard Pirates to be named "Kitsune".
The power of this fruit is similar to Bentham's Mane Mane no Mi and Charlotte Brûlée's Mira Mira no Mi, as they all allow the user to impersonate other people. Unlike the former, however, this fruit's power allows the user to even transform their clothes, and unlike the latter, the transformation is not a mirror image.
The fruit's ability is similar to the ability possessed by the komagitsune Onimaru who lives in Wano Country.
