The only known member of the Kalik Pirates is the captain, Kalik Meidara, though the crew is known to include nearly 200 people.

Despite their captain's fearsome strength, the Kalik Pirates appear to be relatively weak, with groups of the crew's members losing to individual Heart Pirates. Despite this, they are strong enough to repeatedly kidnap civilians, even making a business of it.

At some point in the past, the Kalik Pirates got into the habit of kidnapping civilians and selling them into slavery, traveling from island to island doing so. A few days before the events of One Piece novel Law: The Hour of Kikoku, they traveled to Welbems Island, where they kidnapped a group of citizens that included Hakugan.

While transporting a group of 10 potential slaves, the Kalik Pirates ambushed the Heart Pirates. Captain Meidara challenged Trafalgar Law himself while the rest of his crew fought off the rest of the Heart Pirates, but they were all soundly defeated, and their treasure was stolen.[1]
