Kirintauros[2] is a giraffe centaur and member of the Centaur Patrol Unit on Punk Hazard.[1]

Appearance

Kirintauros is a tall, lanky giraffe centaur with a long abdomen and limbs, medium-length black hair, a pointed nose, and a slightly wrinkled face. He has a very undefined chin, and he wears a maroon tank top.

Personality

Kirintauros dislikes intruders and is allegiant to Caesar Clown, as shown when he attacked Luffy.[1]

In the anime, he is shown to be smarter and more observant than Hyoutauros.[2]

Abilities and Powers

Kirintauros is not very strong, as he was easily defeated by Robin.[1]

Weapons

Kirintauros fights with a sword, but it is unknown how skilled he is at using it.[1]

History

Punk Hazard

After Hyoutauros was defeated by Luffy, Kirintauros charged at Luffy with his sword raised. Before he could strike, Kirintauros was immobilized and defeated by Robin.[1]

Anime and Manga Differences

In the anime, the conversation Monet has with a centaur over Den Den Mushi is revealed to be with Kirintauros. Kirintauros also calls Hyoutauros to tell him that Luffy is an intruder, and his scene where he confronts Luffy is slightly extended.[2]

  • Kirintauros' name seems to be a combination of the Japanese word for "giraffe" (キリン, Kirin) and the Japanese word for "centaur" (ケンタウルス, Kentaurusu).
