The Kote Kote no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to summon large gauntlets with which they can grab and manipulate any non-living thing. It was eaten by Adio Suerte.[1]

Etymology[]

  • Kote (籠手?) means "gauntlet" in Japanese.

Strengths and Weaknesses[]

The main power of this fruit is to summon large gauntlets that are projected from the user's hands. These gauntlets can be used to grab anything and manipulate it as the user wishes, the only exception being the user themselves.[1] Otherwise, the user is affected by the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.

Usage[]

Adio uses this power to throw punches and block incoming attacks. However, due to only having two hands, he is limited in the number of gauntlets he can summon at one time.[1]

Techniques[]

  • Tensei Hoshi (天兵星, Tensei Hoshi?, literally meaning "Heavenly Soldier"): Adio shoots at least three times to both sides, creating reflective surfaces in the air and causing the bullets to ricochet around the opponent and hit them from behind. It is called Tempesta in the English localization and Heavenly Soldier Star in Bounty Rush.
Grande

Adio using Grande

  • Grande (グラン・デ, Guran de?): Adio creates two giant lightning-powered gauntlets above him, casting a protective shield of lightning around him and his allies.
Solmente

A Silver Bat being influenced by Solmente.

  • Solmente (ソルメン, Sorumente?): Adio creates two gauntlets and encases a living being within them, taking control of their body and absorbing information they know or learn. While this ability works well on small animals, such as birds or bats, it can be deflected by those with strong wills. Those under the effect of Solmente have green lighting sparks around them.
  • A Jien Te (・自演・手, A Jien Te?): Adio creates two gauntlets, grabbing an object from the sides. If the object he grabs has some kind of control stick, he gains complete control of it. This ability was powerful enough to forcefully take control of the Divine Breath, something compared to the Ancient Weapons in terms of power and worshipped as a god by part of the Wandering Clan.
