Koyama Nami is one of the three protagonists of the One Piece in Love spin-off series.
Appearance[]
Nami is a teenage girl with big eyes, short beige-blonde hair and a braid going around the back of her head. She typically wears a pink school uniform with a blue collar and skirt, and more casual clothes in her free time.

Personality[]
Nami is generally a serious person, and tends to act as a tsukkomi/straight man figure. She is very romantic and wants a "love-filled high school life", having fallen in love with Yamamoto Luffy at first sight[1] and frequently imagining their futures together.
Like Luffy, she has been teased about her name in the past, but to a much smaller degree. Unlike him, she is more comfortable with her name, since "Nami" is a common given name.[1]
She is somewhat self-conscious, and feels inadequate about her chest size, her short stature, and her perceived lack of cuteness.[2]

Yamamoto Luffy[]
Nami and Luffy are close friends, having bonded over both having One Piece names. At the beginning of One Piece in Love, she is essentially the only person who doesn't tease him over his name.
Nami has a crush on Luffy, though he is unaware of it and treats her platonically.
Nakatsugawa Usopp[]
Usopp is a classmate and friend of Nami's, who seeked her out due to their similar One Piece names. She tends to get annoyed at his antics, and dislikes how he distracts Yamamoto Luffy away from her, considering him a third wheel. She frequently acts as a tsukkomi to Usopp's boke.

When she met Yamamoto Luffy for the first time, they became fast friends due to both their names being One Piece characters. At some point since then, she developed a crush on him.[1]
One Piece in Love[]
One day while they were leaving school, Nami and Luffy were approached by Nakatsugawa Usopp, who introduced himself as also having a One Piece name. To Nami's annoyance, the three students spent the afternoon together, ruining her chance to spend time alone with Luffy. The next day, Luffy was being bullied by his classmates and Nami tried to defend him, but the bullies told her that a girl shouldn't get involved. They learned that Usopp had started a "Pirate Club" and listed Luffy as the captain; while they were initially shocked, Luffy was ultimately saved from the bullies by Usopp.[1]
As a member of the Pirate Club, Nami grows closer to Luffy and Usopp, and is frequently involved in Usopp's antics as she attempts to grow her relationship with Luffy into a romance.

- Nami appears in the first SBS fan-drawn header in Volume 97, where she acts as a tsukkomi when Nakatsugawa Usopp suddenly starts the segment.[3]
