The Sea Train Coaster is a multiple-car train on a long track, which begins at sea level and rises into the air to snake above the water. At certain points, the track goes into full, repeated loops, including at least 4 in a row. It has a landing dock with large sign that spells out its name.

History[]

Cross Epoch[]

Chopper and Krillin were sitting atop the Sea Train Coaster wondering about Mr. Satan's ascension to king when they realized that it must have been accomplished through a wish from Shenron. Knowing that this would also act as an invite to a party, they closed the ride for the day and set off on it to reach the dragon.

On their way, they were boarded by Zoro and Piccolo, who intended to hijack the train. However, upon realizing it belonged to Chopper and Krillin, they asked for two tickets instead. Soon after, the Tettiri 55 nearly landed on the train, but it was deflected by the two visitors.

At some point, the coaster transitioned from its tracks to a solid pathway leading to Shenron's island, allowing its four passengers to arrive safely.[1]

Translation and Dub Issues[]

The Kuri-Chopa Sea Train Coaster gets its name from the beginning of Krillin and Chopper's names, respectively pronounced Kuririn and Choppā in Japanese. While this is achievable for Krillin (referred to as "Kuririn" in the VIZ translation of Dragon Ball), it is difficult to achieve with Chopper, so the VIZ release of Cross Epoch simply used his full name.

While referred to as a "Sea Train" both here and in the official English translation, the Coaster uses a slightly different term in Japanese; "海列車" (Kaijō Ressha?, lit. "Maritime Train") instead of "海列車" (Umi Ressha?, lit. "Sea Train").
