One Piece: Legend of the Rainbow Island is an action RPG for the Wonderswan Color developed and published by Bandai on September 2001 based on the manga and anime series, One Piece.
Plot[]
The storyline of the game is based upon an original story set between the Loguetown Arc and Arabasta Arc. The story features two youths, Dias and Atoli, who join the Straw Hats in Loguetown in order to discover the mysteries behind two mysterious keystones that each holds.
Gameplay[]
In the game the player choose up to 3 characters to fight in a square field where the character chooses an attack and which enemy to attack, each character has a different unique attack.

Throughout the game, Marine bounty boards are visible to be read. These list the bounties of various pirates.
Four boards are located throughout the game: on Silver Arrow Island, Royal Sun Island, Great Ground, and Festa Circle.
To fill out the board, new bounties were created for various canon characters, and fake names were created.

The board includes the names of invented characters, at least some of which appear to be references to staff on the game; for example Newlywed Munekyun, a likely reference to the game's director, Muneki Shiraishi. Various details about these characters are revealed through the bounty board:
- Toshi and Kisasa are members of the Title Card Pirates.
- Martha and Jige are members of the Male Cat Pirates.
- Yamaguma, Tesak, Hiroki, Yoshi, and Munekyun are members of the Camel Pirates.
- Vasco "in the Distance" (遠目のヴァスコ, Tōme no Vuasuko?) is a wandering navigator. He is known for having incredible eyes that don't overlook anything.
- "Wandering Painter" Kimi (放浪画家のキミ, Hōrō Gaka no Kimi?) is a wandering painter and navigator.
