Light and Darkness is the first segment of One Piece Picture Book, covering Luffy's, Ace's, and Sabo's childhood.
The segment's three chapters were released in One Piece Magazine's first, second, and third issues respectively. They were later compiled into a standalone book.

Chapter 1[]
Covers the beginning of their childhood, until they entered the Goa Kingdom High Town.
Chapter 2[]
Covers part of their childhood, including Outlook III recognizing Sabo, the Goa Kingdom military taking Sabo, and Ace and Luffy training on Mt. Colubo.
Chapter 3[]
Covers part of their childhood, including Sabo's time in High Town, Gray Terminal's burning, and Sabo's attempt at leaving Dawn Island.
The reason for Sabo's boat sinking is excluded.
Extras[]
The initial release of the third chapter ended when Sabo's boat sank, but the compiled version continues afterwards, showing Luffy and Ace returning to the Gray Terminal and fighting nondescript pirates.
