Lim[6] is a young woman who lives on Waford as the Sky Priestess. She is a descendant of Rita Suerte.[7] She appears in One Piece Odyssey as a key ally to the Straw Hat Pirates.

Lim actually embodies two people, with the second being a copy of the first. 200 years ago, during Waford's fall, the original Lim placed herself into cryo-sleep. She created the copy Lim to monitor the island in her absence; however, not all her memories were extracted correctly, causing the copy Lim to not correctly remember her past.

Throughout One Piece Odyssey, nearly all actions are performed by the copy Lim, while the original Lim takes the form of the "Mysterious Voice".

Appearance[]

Lim is a slim woman with fair skin, a round head, and long legs. She has black hair cut in a bob. She wears a short, light-blue dress that has buttons in the front, a hood with a red collar, and sleeves that are baggy at the ends and cut off just past the elbow. She is seen carrying a large glass bottle shaped like a gourd. The original Lim has red eyes, while the copy has green eyes.[1]

Personality[]

Lim has a great distrust of pirates due to them being responsible for the death of her pet parrot.[1]

Relationships[]

Adio Suerte[]

Lim views Adio Suerte as a very good friend, believing in his words and actions even if she disagrees with them. Even after Adio's betrayal, she still believes that there is good inside him and that his actions are motivated by loneliness and not evil.

Straw Hat Pirates[]

Although initially distrustful of Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates, she agrees to assist them on their quest to regain their Mukashic Cubes. By diving into their pasts and seeing their true selves, she begins to understand them and grows to trust them, eventually viewing them as friends.

Abilities and Powers[]

As the Sky Priestess, Lim has the ability to slightly control the Divine Breath. She can also manipulate Mukashic Cubes, which she can use to seal people's power, and she can access Memoria and Archivio Space.

Lim also has some level of control over the Colossi, ordering them to defend the Tower of Heaven.

History[]

Past[]

200 years ago, Lim acted as the Sky Priestess during the war between the Wandering Clan and the World Government. When Waford fell into the Blue Sea, she was with the Divine Breath, and was unable to move. To help the Divine Breath regenerate, she erected a barrier around it, and placed herself in cryo-sleep. At the same time, she directed the Colossi to protect the Tower of Heaven and created a copy of herself to monitor the island. However, the copy was imperfect, and did not have access to memories from before her creation.

Note that from this point on, "Lim" refers to the copy version.

Lim used to live alone on Waford. At some point, the island was visited by pirates, who asked Lim where they could find treasure, though they were eventually expelled by the Colossi. Some time later, a ship washed ashore with a white parrot that Lim adopted. One day, a group of pirates washed up on shore and killed the parrot. In retaliation, Lim took away their abilities, and developed a hatred for pirates, beginning to kick them off the island without question.[8]

Some time later, Lim met Adio Suerte. Upon noticing his Wandering Clan tattoo, she fed him until he woke up, instead of kicking him off the island.[9] When he realized they were part of the same clan, Adio explained that Waford was their home island. He explained that the clan was trying to reach the island but couldn't come due to the storm caused by the Divine Breath, and explained his plan to temporarily take control of it and stop the storm for them to make landfall. Lim agreed to his plan, excited about having more residents, but remained apprehensive about defeating the Colossi.

One Piece Odyssey[]

Chapter 1[]

After the Straw Hat Pirates shipwrecked on Waford and Luffy lost his straw hat, Lim found it on the island's shore and picked it up. Luffy later took it back, but Lim stole the Straw Hats' abilities, transforming them into cubes and scattering them around Waford.

After they were rescued by Adio Suerte, she met back up with them at their shared house, where she apologized for taking their abilities. After some convincing from Adio, she explained that she's naturally wary of pirates, and that they can recover their abilities if they find the cubes scattered across the island.

After the Straw Hats left for the Thunderhead Ruins, Lim went out to a small island in the inland sea, where she spoke to a bodyless voice. However, her conversation was interrupted by the Straw Hats and Adio, who asked how they could reabsorb the cubes they retrieved from the Thunder Colossus. She explained that a cube that large has to be re-experienced to be reabsorbed, and transported them to a strange world surrounded by cubes. There, she explained that they were going to travel to Memoria, the Land of Memories, where they would have to experience their memories of their past.

Chapter 2[]

Transported into Memoria, Lim joined the Straw Hats in a remake of Nanohana. She explains that to regain their abilities, they must accomplish the same goals; effectively, to defeat Crocodile. With that news, the group decided to travel to Rainbase. She traveled with the Straw Hats as they investigated around Nanohana, and watched as they helped Ikidaore Joe get something to eat. Due to Joe having the key to the Spice Bean Plaza, the group was able to access the main part of the town. They visited Spice Bean to request food for a journey through the desert, and were instructed to speak with Krin, who challenged Sanji to a cooking competition. Lim followed the Straw Hats as they collected clams and scorpion legs, and as Sanji made a soup for Krin. After Sanji was declared winner, they received the food and went out to the desert.

However, they first needed to pass through the Ravine of No Return. They were instructed by locals to get a Navi Bird as a guide, so the group returned to Nanohana to find one. They found a free bird near the desert entrance, and after Chopper negotiated with it, it was willing to guide them through the ravine. Now prepared, the group returned to the ravine.

After following the Navi Bird through the ravine, the group was attacked by two Sandora Lizards. They managed to defeat them, saving a small Moving Crab in the process, and advanced to the Sandy Desert, where they met Zaraza. They asked how to get to Rainbase, and while Zaraza explained the directions, were attacked by bandits. The Straw Hats easily defeated the bandits, but while they were distracted, Zaraza and their supplies had been taken. Following Chopper's nose, the group headed east, aiming to reclaim their supplies.

Upon arriving at the east end of the desert, the Straw Hats found a small group of bandits. After swiftly defeating them, the bandits explained they were actually a decoy left by the bandit leader, who had doubled back to the west end of the desert. The Straw Hats traveled to the west end, finding the bandits' hideout, and entered. There, they found Zaraza with the bandits, and realized he was actually in charge of them. Enraged, Luffy challenged Zaraza to a fight, aiming to reclaim the supplies. Zaraza called on a Desert Bananawani for backup, but was swiftly defeated, and the Straw Hats took their supplies and Zaraza's stored treasure, as well as directions to Rainbase.

With their supplies back in hand and now knowing where to go, the Straw Hats traveled to the Bone Bridge. While heading north, they ran into a Frayed Memory, which Usopp was sucked in to. Lim explained that a Frayed Memory connects to Hysteria, a distorted memory in Memoria, and the group entered to save Usopp. However, only Zoro and Chopper were able to enter, with Lim revealing that only those chosen were allowed in.

When the three Straw Hats escaped Hysteria, Lim elaborated on the Frayed Memories, informing them that there were more across Memoria. The group eventually made their way to the Sandy Ruins, where they planned their future strategy. The group then continued heading north-east, slowly making their way to Rainbase.

They eventually made it to a massive quicksand field, with Robin noting that they couldn't cross it. Trying to find a way around, they headed to the Sandy Oasis, where they met the peddlers Abby and Toby. The duo of peddlers informed them of a cave to the north that connects to Alubarna, and the group headed there. Lim accompanied the Straw Hats through the cave, when they got ambushed by a Bushy Bananawani right before the exit. In the process of defeating it, Luffy caused a small-scale cave in, blocking the cave exit. As the rocks fell from the ceiling, they nearly crushed Chopper, but Lim jumped towards him, successfully pushing him out of harm's way, which surprised the pirates. Unable to continue, the group returned to the oasis, where they ran into the small Moving Crab they had saved before, Kogani. It offered to transport them to Alubarna, and they agreed to meet near the quicksand field.

After meeting with it, they were introduced to an adult Crab Mover, who brought the group to Rain Dinners. There, they successfully saved Vivi from the Baroque Works agents, and Lim introduced herself to Vivi and Karoo. The group then began traveling to Alubarna. While approaching the city, they ran into a Marine checkpoint, which Vivi attempted to negotiate with. However, some of the Marines were secretly Baroque Works agents, who kidnapped her while the Straw Hats were distracted. Lim continued following the Straw Hats as they chased down the agents to retrieve Vivi, and as they continued to Alubarna on Vivi's trail.

Lim continued traveling with the Straw Hats through the city, witnessing the Straw Hats rescuing Vivi before she was dropped from the castle by Crocodile. The group then rushed to the Alubarna clocktower, hoping to the stop Baroque Works' bomb. Lim watched as the crew defeated Mr. 2 Bon Kurei and launched the bomb into the sky, and joined them in the Tomb of the Kings to chase Crocodile. She remained with the crew as they descended the tomb, and watched as they defeated Crocodile. When the group split up to walk around Alubarna, she remained with Luffy, and accompanied him while he collected them for the banquet.

After the banquet, Lim accompanied the Straw Hats back to the Going Merry, and left the island with them. Having completed the memory, Lim brought the group back to Waford, with them absorbing the large cube on the way back.

Chapter 3[]

Upon returning the group was greeted by Adio, who showed them Mukchi (ムクチー, Mukuchī?), a Mukashic Synthesizer. Lim explained that it had to ability to combine accessories created by the cubes, and indirectly instructed Robin on how to use it.

After the Straw Hats visited the Dust Ruins, they asked Lim to bring them back to the Arabasta Kingdom Memoria, and she complied, accompanying them.

The group went to visit Hasami, with Luffy intending to bring him back to Waford and get his help crossing the quicksand. However, Lim told the group he was too big to turn into a cube, stating they couldn't bring him back. Chopper suggested Kogani, since they're smaller, and Lim said it was possible, so they retrieved it from the Tomb of the Kings. Lim then brought them back to Waford, where they went to meet Adio. The Straw Hats left with him to the Dust Ruins while Lim remained at Adio's House.

After the Straw Hats retrieved the next large cube from the Wind Colossus, Lim brought them back to the Strange Place, prepared to enter Memoria again. Once prepared, the group entered, traveling to a memory copy of Water 7.

Chapter 4[]

Upon arriving at Water 7, the group left Usopp and the Merry by the port. Curious about why Usopp and Luffy were being sentimental, Lim used her abilities to view their memories of the first time they arrived at Water 7, and their duel.

The group then entered the city, deciding to try and track down Rob Lucci and stop him as fast as possible. They headed to Dock 1, but Lucci was absent. After asking for directions from the other shipwrights, they headed to Galley-La Headquarters, with Nami noting that in the Memoria version of Water 7 it had been moved. Upon arriving at the mansion, however, the group was confronted by Admiral Aokiji, who pointed out that he was originally expecting them on Long Ring Long Land. He threatened Robin and Luffy, and after a short fight, the crew ended up evacuating with the duo frozen.

In a panic, the group returned to the port where they had docked, only to find the Merry gone. While coming up with a plan of action, they were suddenly attacked by members of the Franky Family, and realized that they had stolen the Merry and kidnapped Usopp. After defeating the bounty hunters, the pirates returned to the mansion, this time looking for a bathhouse to thaw their crewmembers. While initially denied access, they were allowed in by Iceburg, who wanted them to be able to treat their friends.

After Luffy recovered, they asked Iceburg about where to find the Franky Family, and he directed them to the sewer system. As Robin was still recovering from the ice, the rest of the group entered the sewers to find the Franky Family and save Usopp.

They traveled down to the lowest level, where they found Franky from two years ago. After a short battle and defeating Franky, they were interrupted by Usopp, and they realized that Franky hadn't kidnapped Usopp; Usopp had interrupted Franky's dismantling of the Merry and, like two years ago, Franky had gotten emotional from Usopp's stories of the ship. However, as they all calmed down, the entrance was destroyed by CP9 agents, and Lucci and Kaku entered the room. Lucci demanded the Pluton blueprints from Franky, who claimed he didn't know what Lucci meant, and the Straw Hats attacked the agent. After a short duel, however, they were interrupted by Kaku, who had taken Usopp hostage. The two agents left with Franky and Usopp in tow, and headed to Enies Lobby.

Desperate to follow them, the Straw Hats went to find Iceburg and explain the situation. He gave them access to Rocketman, and the group traveled to Enies Lobby, crashing into the Tower of Justice. Having arrived, the pirates stormed through the tower, noting that the security in the Memoria version is more intense than the original.

Lim accompagnied the Straw Hats as they traveled to the bottom of Enies Lobby and passed through the Underground Passage. When Spandam accidentally called the Buster Call, she became scared of the rising water, and was temporarily carried by Zoro. The group eventually found and defeated Rob Lucci, before jumping onto the Going Merry and returning to Water 7. After Merry's funeral, they had a party at Dock 1, and left the island on the Thousand Sunny, returning to Waford. While returning, Lim called Luffy by his first name, but was embarrassed when Usopp pointed it out.

Chapter 5[]

Upon returning to Waford, Lim nearly collapsed in exhaustion, worrying the Straw Hats. Robin asked if transporting them to Memoria tired her, and Luffy asked her not to overdo it, but Lim refuted them, saying that she was transporting them because she wanted to. Robin asked if Lim was being forced to help but was interrupted by Franky arriving and informing them that the Sunny had been repaired. The group returned to the Sunny and planned ahead.

They explained Memoria to Franky, and planned to all visit the next one together. However, Franky would need to find a source of cola to launch the Shark Submerge III and rescue Brook's body, so in the meantime, the rest of the group planned to visit the inland sea and investigate something that may explain Waford's history. However, upon reaching Adio's House, Lim was no longer with the group.

Upon returning to Adio's House, Lim revealed that the ball inside her jar had gone missing. The group came to the conclusion that it must have been stolen, since the jar was closed too tight for it to fall out, and Adio suggested that it might have been the Yoisas. Lim left with the pirates to find the ball, questioning a wild Yoisa that they found. It directed them to the Thunderhead Ruins, stating that the Yoisa playing there might be the culprit. The Yoisa at the ruins directed them to the beach while repeating how scary Lim was, and the group realized that the Yoisa were attempting to make the Straw Hats afraid of Lim.

They traveled to the beach next to the Thousand Sunny, where they encountered the next Yoisa. It directed them towards King Kong Garden, telling them that it thought a walrus had taken the ball and gone to hide with the Del Kong. Upon arriving at the Del Kong, however, they found it unconscious, with a Yoisa saying that it had given the ball to "the boss". Upon saying that, a Doeisa jumped out, telling them that they couldn't have the ball back. However, after a short fight, the Straw Hats defeated the Doeisa, and returned Lim's ball. With the ball returned, they returned to Adio's House, and the pirates left for the Ice Block Ruins.

After the Straw Hats defeated the Water Colossus, Lim brought them to the next Memoria location, Marineford.

Chapter 6[]

Inside Marineford, Lim watched as the Straw Hats fought their way through the Summit War. She congratulated them when they rescued Ace from the execution stand and cheered when they began fighting off Akainu. However, when the Mukashic Cube to controlling the Memoria began to violently shake and powered up Akainu, she began trying to stabilize it. Unable to control it, she began to panic, but was able to hold it long enough for Robin to grab the entire crew and evacuate back to the Strange Place.

Chapter 7[]

Having returned to Waford, Lim went to talk to Adio, asking him if they could avoid fighting the Fire Colossus in their plan to control the Divine Breath. She explained that she was worried about the Straw Hats, as the Colossi had the capacity to learn and had likely learned their techniques. However, Adio told her that he worried about them too, and promised to run if it looked like they would lose.

Some time later, Lim spoke to the Mysterious Voice, confessing that she hated lying to the Straw Hats even if it was to bring the Wandering Clan to Waford. She resolved that when they got their strength back, she would apologize and tell them the truth, even if it caused them to hate her.

When the Straw Hats returned to Adio's House, Lim brought them to the Strange Place, and subsequently to a Memoria of Dressrosa.

Chapter 8[]

Having arrived in Dressrosa, Lim followed the Straw Hats as they attempted to reach the Royal Palace, and was informed of the conflict on the island as they passed by various destroyed areas. However, upon arriving at the base of the plateau, they realized they couldn't enter, and the group traveled to the Corrida Colosseum to find Rebecca.

After fighting off Jesus Burgess, the group found Sabo and Rebecca, and returned to the plateau's entrance. Rebecca was able to open the elevator door to the Royal Plateau, and the group entered, continuing their travels towards the Royal Palace. On the way, they ran into a heavily injured Trafalgar Law, and he joined their group. As they continued climbing the plateau, they eventually ran into Hakuba, but quickly defeated him; subsequently, he joined them as well.

The group continued climbing the plateau, but were attacked by a powered-up Burgess before the entrance to the 3rd level, this time targeting Sabo's Mera Mera no Mi. They were able to defeat him, but during the fight, Law began to grow suspicious of Lim, noting how she seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

Some time later, the pirates were attacked by Pica, but managed to drive him off. After the battle, Lim pointed out how desperate Law seemed to defeat Doflamingo, and he informed her of Corazon's death.

Some time later, the group reached Flower Hill. Once there, Rebecca mentioned that her mother was buried there, and Lim used an Mukashic Cube to view her memories of her childhood. Law noticed this and asked her if she was using a Devil Fruit ability, and Lim said she wasn't; Law then pointed out that it was rude to view people's memories without asking permission, and asked her where she met the Straw Hats. However, Lim refused to answer, stating that she didn't need to explain herself.

The group approached the castle, but were suddenly ambushed by Doflamingo. He split them into four groups, though they were ultimately able to defeat his string clone and Sugar. As Doflamingo prepared to kill Law, he was suddenly stopped by Corazon, who had been generated by Law's memories through the Mukashic Cubes. As Law questioned Lim on his reappearance, she apologized for creating him without asking Law, but stated that she couldn't stop it due to Law's memories resonating with her abilities.

After defeating the Doflamingo in front of them, who's revealed to be another string clone, Corazon disappeared, and Law thanked him for saving his life in the past. Lim apologized again for causing him to appear, but Law interrupted her, thanking her for allowing him to finally thank Corazon after so long.

Alone again, the pirates continued into the palace, chasing after the real Doflamingo. They arrived at the top floor to find a powered-up Doflamingo, but managed to defeat him, with Luffy regaining Boundman in the process.

With Dressrosa freed from Doflamingo's rule, the Straw Hats explored the island at Lim's request. With the restoration of Dressrosa beginning, they returned to Flower Hill to say goodbye to their allies. Lim spoke to Law about Luffy, being satisfied when he said he would help Luffy if he ever needed it. Finally, the pirates returned to the Strange Place.

Once there, Lim apologized to the Straw Hats, explaining that she took their strength on purpose. She explained that she wanted to borrow their strength to defeat the Colossi for Adio's goal, and apologized for making them relive their memories in exchange, but Luffy just told her not to worry about it since they managed to get their strength back. With her apology complete, Lim resolved to stop Adio when they returned to Waford.

At Luffy's questioning, Lim explained that Adio was attempting to stop the storm surrounding Waford to bring his clan to the island. She then explained the history of the Divine Breath, before being suddenly possessed by the Mysterious Voice. Under the Voice's control, Lim returned to Waford, leaving the Straw Hats in the Strange Place.

Chapter 9[]

Back on Waford, Lim returned to her senses, noting how she was the only one who returned. Noticing the storms surrounding the island were gone, she looked out to the ocean, and watched as the Divine Breath destroyed a fleet of Marine ships. Coming to the conclusion that the Divine Breath was rampaging, Lim rushed to the Tower of Heaven to check on Adio.

On her way to the tower, Lim collapsed at Adio's House, where she was found by the Straw Hats. There, she explained that the Tower of Heaven was made in dedication to the Divine Breath, and that she was trying to go there to find Adio. The Straw Hats decided to join her, and the group left for the tower.

Upon entering the tower, the group encountered a floating orange cube, which transformed into a Juracho, a Samu Samu Cho, and a Bo Bo Cho. After the Straw Hats defeated them, Lim explained that they had found the tower's defense system, which recreated enemies from their memory to try and stop them. Undeterred, the pirates continued climbing the tower, fighting off various animals created by the orange cubes.

Eventually, they reached a large forest area, which Lim recognized. She explained that she remembers climbing the tower before, but couldn't remember anything else. The group continued through the forest area and reached the Room of Celebration. There they found an ancient text that Robin attempted to decipher, but was initially unable to. Hoping for a hint, the group traveled to the Arabasta Kingdom Memoria, to the Tomb of the Kings, where Robin remembered seeing similar text.

Upon reaching the mural containing the text, Robin realized that they were written using symbols rather than letters. Lim brought them back to the Room of Celebration, where Robin deciphered the message and discovered it was sheet music. However, the message was too decayed to make out the memory, so the group returned to Memoria once again, hoping to find a full version. Remembering the text about Waford she found in the Tower of Justice, Robin asked Lim to bring them back to Water 7.

After arriving at the bottom floor vault, Robin found the book she had read, and discovered that the ancient Wandering Clan members performed songs to praise the Divine Breath, with the one they needed being Sunlight of Salvation. Upon hearing the name, Lim recognized the song, and informed the pirates that she could perform it even without sheet music. They returned to the Room of Celebration, and Lim hummed the song on the pedestal in the room. However, Lim was too out of practice in her performance, and nothing happened. In a second attempt, Brook performed the song on his violin, opening the door to the rooftop.

As they prepared to enter the rooftop, the tower began to shake, and Lim ran forward in a hurry, leaving the Straw Hats behind. She arrived at the rooftop, and found Adio destroying Marine ships with the Divine Breath. Confused, she asked about his clan, and he stated that she deserved to know the truth. As she reached forward to grab his hand, he drew his pistol, and shot Lim in the stomach.

Shortly after, Lim regained consciousness, and witnessed Adio flying away on the Divine Breath. She asked Luffy not to blame Adio and explained that he just wanted somewhere to belong, before she suddenly turned into a Mukashic Cube. The cube was picked up by Luffy, and after Robin explained that Lim had described the cubes as artificial, he decided to follow Adio and ask for an explanation on Lim's state.

After Adio's defeat at Luffy's hands, the original Lim revealed herself, explained that the Lim they had known was a copy of herself made using Mukashic Cubes. As Adio had avoided any vital points, she was able to reform her copied self using the cube. Once Adio left Waford, she reform the copied Lim.

A few days later, the two Lims watched Zoro training. The original Lim asked if he wanted to have more powerful training partners, and when he and Nami accepted, she instructed them to enter Memoria and look for yellow cubes.

When the Straw Hats prepared to set sail from Waford, the two Lims helped them. They traveled across Waford with Luffy to meet up with all the Straw Hats. As the Straw Hats left Waford, the two Lims waved goodbye from the shore.

Some time later, the two Lims greeted Smoker and the G-5 Marines when they landed on Waford. Through unknown means, they convinced them to lie on their report to Marine Headquarters, not mentioning them or the wreckage of the Divine Breath.
