Makino's child is an unnamed baby born to Makino and an unknown man during the two-year timeskip.[1][3]
Appearance[]
The child is a small baby with short, dark green hair. It wears a yellow hooded bodysuit which covers its entire body apart from the hands and head. In the Digitally Colored Manga, its hair is dark brown and the bodysuit light blue.
Personality[]
As a baby, the child is not yet capable of speech and does not show much a personality outside of laughing and crying. It has recently learned to recognize Monkey D. Luffy's face from newspapers and seems to react positively to him.[4]

When the news of Luffy's new bounty after his victory over Doflamingo reached Dawn Island, the people of Foosha Village celebrated along with the Dadan Family. The child was laughing as Dadan lifted it into the air.[5]

The child played with a ball inside Makino's bar while Makino sat a table, distressed over news about Sabo.[6]

Egghead Arc[]
As civilians in Foosha Village reacted to the news of Garp's disappearance on Hachinosu, the child laughed at something and was accidentally scared by the angry Woop Slap who thought someone was making light of the news. Makino then took the child into her arms and showed it a newspaper article about Luffy, stating the child had learned to recognize Luffy from the newspaper photos.[4]
Trivia[]
- Oda stated that the father of Makino's child is "probably that person". It is currently unknown who this person is.[3]
- Although the child received an entry in Vivre Card - One Piece Visual Dictionary, their name was not revealed. Instead they were simply listed as "Makino's Child".[9]
