Mamana Island is a non-canon island in Paradise. It can be used, alongside Samua Island, to locate Shellfish Island.

Geography[]

Mamana Island, Shellfish Island, and Samua Island all form a straight line. Because of this, sailing from Mamana Island to Samua Island, or vice-versa, in a straight line (such as with an Eternal Pose) allows one to reach Shellfish Island, which cannot be reached normally with any Log or Eternal Pose.

History[]

Past[]

At some point in the past, Amanda's father discovered Shellfish Island, establishing that it was reachable by travelling in a straight line between Mamana Island and Samua Island.

After Amanda and her siblings were captured by the Bayan Pirates and escaped with Maccus and Bonney, they travelled to Mamana Island and set off towards Samua Island using an Eternal Pose.

Translation and Dub Issues[]

Fan translations of Episode Special 2 incorrectly translated Mamana Island as "Mamanato Island", combining the -tō suffix (meaning "island") into the island's name. Curiously, this is not the case with Samua Island, which also uses the -tō suffix.
