The Mansion's Guards[1] are employees of the Tessle Company (テッスルカンパニー, Tessurukanpanī?), hired by Klahadore to act as security guards to keep Kaya's mansion safe.

Appearance[]

The guards are composed of two men. The one on the left wears a black suit, white shirt, and green tie. He is rather skinny and has a mustache and beard. He has brown hair that is spiked up at the top.

The guard on the right wears a black suit, white shirt and a red tie. He is not as skinny as his partner, and is clean-shaven. He has slicked back black hair, that is long in the back.

Personalities[]

They are quite serious about their job, and sincerely want to protect their mistress Kaya to the degree where they would risk their lives for her. However, they tend to neglect their duties while being on breaks.[4][5]

Abilities and Powers[]

As they are hired to guard the mansion's front gates, it is indicated that they are at least capable of repelling simplistic troublemakers and intruders. However, Usopp was able to defeat the both of them in a direct fight.

Both guards are armed with simple flintlock pistols.[6]

History[]

Past[]

Klahadore was responsible for hiring both guards at some point after the death of Kaya's parents, doing so as one of his precaution measures for Kaya's safety. It is known that they frequently sighted Usopp around the estate and reported about it to Klahadore.[7]

East Blue Saga[]

Syrup Village Arc[]

When Usopp and later Monkey D. Luffy sneaked into Kaya's estate, the latter wanting to request a ship for travel, Klahadore was alerted by Merry about the intruders, complaining that the guards were on a lunch break and neglecting their duties.[4]

After Usopp learned about Klahadore's true identity as the pirate captain Kuro, Usopp sneaked into Kaya's estate once again in order to alert her. This time, however, the guards were present and attempted to kick Usopp out after detecting him. Usopp fought back and knocked out both guards, much to the shock of Merry, who then proceeded to fire his own gun at Usopp.[6]

They went on vacation along with all other employees of the mansion (aside from Klahadore and Merry), thus not knowing of the Black Cat Pirates' attack, nor were they able to help Merry when he was injured by Klahadore.[5]
