A Marine Base, or a Marine Home Base (海軍基地, Kaigun Kichi?)[1] is a home headquarters in local areas of the sea. Marines would stay in the base and patrol the local area. The base houses all weapons, ships, important documents, and artillery. The bases have living quarters with bunkbeds and a kitchen and common area. Most bases have numbers. Some bases are attached to major port cities, and thus bear only the city's name. Of the bases with numbers, these seem to be either Marine Branches (海軍支部, Kaigun Shibu?)[2] or the larger Marine Grand Line Branches (海軍
