She has long blue hair that is partially held up by lavender barrettes on the sides, with side-locks in large pink beads. In Oda's depiction, Maya's hair is a lighter blue than in the movie.
She usually wears a long light yellow shirt with a white-tasseled orange cloth wrapped around her waist. She also wears six gold bracelets on her wrists and brown sandals.
She is a kind and noble woman who will do anything to help others, especially those close to her, even if it means sacrificing herself.
History
The Cursed Holy Sword
Having been attacked by pirates, Maya and her village were wary of them, but made an exception with the Straw Hats after realizing that they were good people. She and her grandmother Izaya come from a long line of priests charged with preventing the Shichiseiken from awakening. She is noted to be an especially skilled priestess and uses her skill to help Monkey D. Luffy fight Saga, the man she loves and Roronoa Zoro's childhood friend, to save him from the sword's curse.[2]
Trivia
