Mirage is the staff officer of the criminal group Flower Angel and the secondary antagonist of the GBC game Grand Line Dream Adventure Log.[1]
Appearance[]
Mirage is a man with short brown hair, a chin puff goatee and a prominent nose. He wears a black coat with a dark blue collar and a black wide-brimmed top hat with yellow-pink petal-like decorations pointing upwards around the crown.
Personality[]
Mirage is a selfish and uncaring man. He has a hobby of collecting Log Poses and Eternal Poses, and is willing to steal them from anyone he comes across. He was also willing to leave the Straw Hat Pirates adrift at sea on a broken ship with no method of navigation. Although loyal to Dandelion, he claims their relationship is merely transactional with each one using the other for their own benefit. Mirage has no interest in Dandelion's ambitions and considers him "stupid", but praises his strength.[1]
Abilities and Powers[]
As the staff officer of Flower Angel, Mirage acts as the right-hand man of the leader, Dandelion.[1]
Hypnotism[]
Mirage wields powerful hypnotic abilities with which he was able to brainwash Monkey D. Luffy to go on a rampage. He could also make the Straw Hat Pirates hallucinate their dreams to disorient them. By using a particular hypnotic scent, he could influence the senses of others and create a "barrier" that made them unable to detect the true location of a massive battleship. However, this can be countered if his opponents use a particularly strong smell to overcome the sensation. Mirage is also able to create copies of people called "shadows" (かげぼうし, kagebōshi?) to fight against them; Whether this is also a form of hypnosis or a different ability is unclear.[1]
History[]
Grand Line Dream Adventure Log[]
Mirage approached the Going Merry on his own ship and asked the Straw Hat Pirates for their the Eternal Pose. When the crew refused, Mirage hypnotized Luffy to go on a rampage on the Merry and stole their Eternal Pose to Arabasta Kingdom as well as their Log Pose. He then departed, leaving the crew adrift at sea.
Mirage accompanied Dandelion when the latter traveled to Warship Island where the Straw Hat Pirates were fighting against the Arlong Pirates at "Arlong Park 2". After Dandelion stole a Sennenryu, Mirage hypnotized the Straw Hats to prevent them from following.
Mirage boarded the massive battleship that Flower Angel had taken command of, and created an illusory barrier around it with a hypnotic scent. Later, he was in his cabin when the Straw Hats raided the ship and confronted him. Mirage created shadow copies of the crew to battle against them, but the copies were defeated. Mirage then taunted the crew that they would not be able to defeat Dandelion, before departing from the scene.[1]
