Trivia[]

  • The subtitle "103 Mercies Dragon Damnation", or Ippyakusanjō Hiryū Jigoku (一百三情飛龍侍極?, literally meaning "103 Emotions Flying Dragon Samurai Extreme"), is derived from Roronoa Zoro's finishing move against King.
  • The promotional poster features a green coloration on the "Ryu" (= "dragon") word.
  • This is the second One Piece related anime production to not be produced by Toei Animation, after Defeat Him! The Pirate Ganzack from 1998.
  • An additional, re-adapted scene of Zoro receiving Shusui from Ryuma was added at the end.
  • The eyecatcher uses Eiichiro Oda's first draft of an updated Ryuma design.
