Nash is a giant shield homie that is owned by Goldberg of the New Giant Warrior Pirates.[1]
Appearance[]

Nash in the Digitally Colored Manga.
Nash appears as a blue and yellow striped shield with eyes and a mouth with a very large tongue.
In the anime, they are greyish green with a light brown frame.[2]
Personality[]
Despite their status as Goldberg's shield, Nash is quite cowardly; when used to block an attack by a Groggysaurus, they begged Goldberg to stop. They also seem to hold high-ranking homies like Zeus in high regard, as they were in disbelief at the fact that Zeus had left Big Mom and became Nami's servant.[3] Nash also seems to sleep when not in active use.[4][5]
Abilities and Powers[]

Nash enlarges itself.
Being a shield, Nash is incredibly durable, as they managed to block and shatter a Groggysaurus' teeth on contact. They can also enlarge themself to defend against larger enemies, becoming bigger and thicker in order to withstand heavy attacks, though it seems to wear them out.[3]
History[]
Past[]
In the past, Nash was an ordinary shield that was brought to life as a homie through the Soru Soru no Mi while Goldberg's father went on an expedition to take down Big Mom.[3] Some time afterwards, they came under the possession of Goldberg himself.
Whole Cake Island Saga[]
The Stories of the Self-Proclaimed Straw Hat Grand Fleet[]
Goldberg was seen holding Nash after the New Giant Warrior Pirates resigned from Buggy's Delivery.[1]
Final Saga[]
Elbaph Arc[]
Goldberg brought along Nash while he and Gerd went to check on Road after Piper saw him bringing intruders onto Elbaph.[6] Nash was asleep while Goldberg and Gerd chased after Road,[4] and was still asleep when the New Giant Warrior Pirates reunited at the Western Village for the feast.[5]
When the New Giant Warrior Pirates rushed to the Underworld to stop Loki from being freed, Nash was seen shocked when Luffy saved the falling svarr with a Gomu Gomu no Balloon before they were all launched upwards by the impact.[7] Goldberg would later use Nash while the New Giant Warrior Pirates were in a standoff with the recently freed Loki before he fell unconscious.[8] When Goldberg, Zoro, and Sanji went hunting for some meat to help Loki, they came across a Groggysaurus. Goldberg used Nash to defend them from its attack, and after it was defeated by Zoro and Sanji, Goldberg explained how Nash came to life. When Zoro compared them to Zeus, Nash was surprised that they knew a high-ranking homie like him, and when Zoro revealed that Zeus had left Big Mom to become Nami's servant, Nash was in utter disbelief.[3]
Trivia[]
- Like many characters from Elbaph, Nash appears to be named after a famous wrestler; in their case, Kevin Nash.
