One Piece 1000 Story Memorial is a one-shot created as a tribute to Chapter 1000 and the One Piece manga overall by the mangaka who were Oda's contemporaries in Shonen Jump at the time of the chapter's release. It was released in the same Shonen Jump issue that Chapter 1000 came out with.
Format[]
Each mangaka wrote and drew 1-2 pages in the one-shot, which each show self-contained events featuring characters from the mangaka's work and, occasionally, One Piece characters. Below is the sequence of authors as well as the series they normally produce.

While many of the shorts have never been reprinted outside of their initial release, a few of them were included in the volumes of their respective series:
- The Mission: Yozakura Family short was included in Volume 8.
- The Agravity Boys short was included in Volume 5.
- The Undead Unluck short was included in Volume 5.
- The Mashle: Magic And Muscles short was included in the Mash Burnedead and the Book of Records databook.
- The Ayakashi Triangle short was included in Volume 3.
- The Moriking short was included in Volume 4.
- The Magu-chan: God of Destruction short was included in Volume 3.
- The Me & Roboco short was included in Volume 2.
- The Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin short was included in Volume 3.
- The Phantom Seer short was included in Volume 2.
- The Sakamoto Days short was included in Volume 11.
Additionally, a few of the shorts had unique titles:
- The Ayakashi Triangle short was titled "GO! The Ayakashi Pirates" (GO! あやかし海賊団!!, GO! Ayakashi kaizoku-dan!!?).
- The Phantom Seer short was titled "Iori's Captain for a Day" (?). The title was added in the volume re-release.
- The Our Blood Oath short was comprised of two yonkoma strips, titled "We are family!" (おれたちはファーミリ~!, Oretachi wa fāmiri~!?) and "Boys Over Flowers Pirates" (花より団子海賊団, Hana yori Dango kaizoku-dan?).
Plot Summary[]
- My Hero Academia: Members of Class A appear dressed as the Straw Hats, and want to riot as the "Class A Pirates" (A組海賊団, Ē-gumi kaizoku-dan?) with Izuku Midoriya, who is dressed as Gol D. Roger. However, Midoriya says they should help other people instead, and Class A then surrenders and is led away by Hannyabal.

- Mission: Yozakura Family: Taiyo Asano is captured and is sentenced to be hung by Kyoichiro Yozakura for being a pirate, despite him saying he's a normal sailor. The jury is the rest of the Yozakura siblings wearing clothes representing various One Piece characters. Taiyo objects saying its illegal to have pirates as a part of the jury but Kyoichiro says that they are a part of the Six Warlords (
六武海 , Rokubukai?), and since they're legal pirates its okay for them to be the jury. - Agravity Boys: The "Agravity Pirates" (アグラビティ海賊団, Agurabiti kaizoku-dan?) sail through α-Jumbro, declaring that they will claim all the treasure for themselves. However, as there are no other people on the planet (and therefore no treasure), they simply enjoy their cosplay for a few hours.
- Undead Unluck: The "Immortal Pirates" (不死海賊団, Fushi kaizoku-dan?, VIZ: "Undead Pirates") sail on their ship, the Dead End, as Andy, their captain, decides what treasure to search for next. He is told of a "princess who kills anyone she touches", and the crew goes to kidnap Fuuko Izumo, increasing their number by one.
- Mashle: Magic and Muscles:
- Ayakashi Triangle: Matsuri Kazamaki (in their male form) leads the "Ayakashi Pirates" (あやかし海賊団, Ayakashi kaizoku-dan?), a pirate crew made up of ayakashi like Shirogane and Ponosuke. They land on an island, which they discover is actually a giant version of Suzu Kanade, and Matsuri wakes up in a cold sweat, in their female form.
- Moriking: A pet shop puts up the typical market prices of various bugs, in the form of wanted posters. Caucasus beetles (Caucausus) are listed at
8,000, Hercules beetles (Hercules) are listed at 19,800, and rhinoceros beetles (Moriking) are listed at 
500. - Magu-chan: God of Destruction: Naputaaku creates a small boat out of scraps, declaring that he will become the Pirate God. Upon setting out to sea, his boat is hit by a shark and capsizes, and he is fished out of the water by Ruru Miyanagi.
- Me & Roboco: Bondo Taira and his friends, dressed as the Straw Hat Pirates, sing We Are!. They discuss their respective One Piece roles and, while wondering where Roboco is, are interrupted by a swarm of Roboco-like Sea Kings.
- Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin: Chako, as captain of the "Anegashima Police Pirates" (姉ヶ島ポリス海賊団, Anegashima Porisu kaizoku-dan?), announces that an island (where they live) is in sight. After a quip about how being "police" and "pirates" at the same time conflicts, the members of the crew try to demonstrate "crimes" they can commit.
- Phantom Seer: Iori Katanagi accepted the opportunity to captain a ship, only to discover it was actually a ghost ship. He meets his crew, noting their requests and reacting with shock when Yayoi Katanagi actually refers to him as "Captain".
- High School Family:
- Build King: Tonkachi, Renga, and variety of Build King, Toriko, and Seikimatsu Leader den Takeshi! characters, as well as caricatures of Eiichiro Oda and Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro themselves, standing around Luffy and shouting congratulations for the series' milestone.
- Our Blood Oath:
- Sakamoto Days: Sakamoto wins a pirate captain's hat as a supermarket freebie, and the employees of Sakamoto's Store imagine what it would be like to live on the sea. Shin quips that they'd have food shortages with Sakamoto as captain, and Sakamoto imagines killing him as retaliation.
