ONE PIECE COMICS "100" COVERS GALLERY is an exhibit that showcases Eiichiro Oda's hand-drawn volume artwork for the first 100 volumes of One Piece. It was held at the Fuji TV Gallery on the fifth floor of the Fuji TV headquarters building from October 30, 2021 to January 30, 2022.[1] The exhibit included an anime Episode 1000 tribute, both of which were shown in the One Piece Visual Festival at Fuji TV (ONE PIECE ビジュアルフェス in フジテレビ, Wanpīsu bijuarufesu in Fujiterebi?).

Information[]

The exhibit opens with a blown-up version of the panel of Shanks giving Monkey D. Luffy his straw hat with the phrase, And the boy's adventure begins in the East Blue (そして少年の冒険は“東の海”から始まる, Soshite shōnen no bōken wa “azuma no umi” kara hajimaru?). This is followed by a massive replica of Volume 1 and a television showing episodes of the We Are One short film series. The main exhibition hall features framed pieces of volume artwork arranged in numerical order from left to right. Volumes 99, 100, and 101 are arranged in one frame, as their artwork is one composite image divided into three parts. The full display length of the volume art is 66 meters.

The exhibit ends with the Giant Connected Cover Corner with Volumes 99 + 100 + 101 (99+100+101巻の巨大つながるカバーコーナー, 99 + 100 + 101-Kan no kyodai tsunagaru kabākōnā?), a photo area feature wall-sized artwork for volumes 99 to 101.[2] Added later was the Special Video Corner (スペシャル映像コーナー, Supesharu eizō kōnā?) commemorating Episode 1000, with key art of Luffy and Kaidou facing, a film poster for One Piece Film: Red, and a sketch of Luffy drawn by Oda and surrounded with signatures from the anime's cast.[3]

After the exhibit, visitors could go to a gift shop to purchase manga volumes and venue-limited products like shirts, spiral-bound notebooks, hand towels, and more.

Outside of the exhibit, Fuji TV set up promotional displays in other parts of the building to commemorate Episode 1000 of the anime, including life-sized statues of Luffy and Jinbe and posters of the Straw Hat Pirates on pillars on the first floor, and a 2.4 meter by 7.2 meter signboard showing Luffy and Kaidou facing off on the seventh-floor terrace.[4][5][6]
