One Piece Gungun Treasure was a medal drop shooting arcade game published by Bandai Namco Entertainment and released in 2013.
Gameplay[]
In Gungun Treasure, players shoot enemies to win medals and treasure. Players use the gun controller to shoot medals at enemies. Enemies will drop medals, treasure chests, and other treasure upon defeat. Collecting medals increases players’ special gauge, and once filled, they can unleash special attacks from Luffy or other playable characters to wipe out all enemies at once. At the end of each stage, a boss appears. Defeating the boss grants players the chance to earn additional medals via a bonus roulette. In an additional Party Game stage, players could earn extra medals by shooting at Sea Kings. If a player is defeated, they can pay 100 yen to continue.
Development[]
The game initially released with four stages: Orange Town, Baratie, Arlong Park, and Arabasta. On August 4, 2014, the Enies Lobby stage was added, alongside Rob Lucci as an enemy and Franky as an ally.[1] On December 1, 2014, the Marineford stage was added, alongside Sakazuki as an enemy and Jinbe and Edward Newgate as allies.[2]
On March 29, 2016, Bandai Namco discontinued support for the game via their Banapassport game cards.
