One Piece Magazine Vol.12 is the twelfth in the series of volumes of the One Piece Magazine. It is themed around "ASL", the bond between Ace, Sabo, and Luffy.

Cover and Inside cover[]

The cover depicts the sake cups from the ASL sakazuki ceremony on a wooden table, with each cup containing a picture of one of the brothers; Monkey D. Luffy and Sabo facing forward, and Portgas D. ASL: The Unknown History[]

Recaps of various events the ASL trio were involved in: Luffy and Ace meeting in Arabasta Kingdom (episodes 95-101), Ace's time with the Whitebeard Pirates (episodes 461 and 483), Luffy and Ace in anime openings (Fight Together and One day), Sabo's time with the Revolutionary Army (Episode 737 and Episode of Sabo), and the trio's time as children (episodes 497 and 499).

ASL: Relationship Diagram[]

A relationship diagram of characters who know at least two of the ASL brothers or are directly related to them. Includes members of the Whitebeard Pirates (Whitebeard, Marco, and Thatch) and the Revolutionary Army (Dragon, Ivankov, Koala, and Hack), Roger and Rouge, Garp, Makino, Shanks, Dadan, Blackbeard, Goa Kingdom nobles (Outlook III, Didit, Sterry, and Sarie Nantokanette), Yamato, and Tama.

It also includes a section on the Straw Hat Pirates, showing if they have met Ace, Sabo, both, or neither.

ASL: Life Chronologies[]

Timelines of the lives of Ace, Sabo, and Luffy - from birth until death, birth until the Levely, and birth until the Raid on Onigashima, respectively.

ASL: The Brothers' Roots[]

In-depth profiles on the three ASL brothers. Each profile includes general information (height, age, blood type, origin, etc.) and specific information (life summary, allegiances).

Investigation into the Mera Mera no Mi[]

A full study on the Mera Mera no Mi, including a timeline of its use and its strengths and weaknesses.

Why do we love the brothers?[]

A discussion between Iwasaki (One Piece editor, 2020-2023), A-moto (a One Piece fan for 18 years), S-da (a One Piece fan for 10 years), and L-shima (a One Piece fan for 16 years), attempting to explain the popularity of the ASL brothers and debating their preferences for the characters.
