Operation Luffy Pirates Destruction[]
The Jump Festa 2004 show was titled "Operation Luffy Pirates Destruction" (ルフィ海賊団壊滅作戦, Rufi kaizoku-dan kaimetsu sakusen?).[3]
Plot[]
During a stormy night on the seas, the Marines pursue the Straw Hat Pirates in a mission to destroy them. Captain Hina had spread rumors of a fake treasure to lure them in, planning to use a sparkling ball to trick and trap the crew. She discusses her plan with Smoker, who is acting as an advisor to the operation. Jango and Fullbody jump in to show Hina the flower they picked for her, but she gets annoyed and turns them away. The Marines leave the stage, and the Straw Hat Pirates enter.
After a brief conversation, they disperse to look for the rumored treasure, with Usopp, Nami, and Luffy grouping up. Luffy finds a treasure chest and pulls the sparkling ball out that Hina had left as a trap, commenting that there is a string attached. The Marines, including Jango and Fullbody, sneak up on them as the pirates inspect the treasure. When Luffy pulls on the string, it triggers a trap, and a net is launched over the three pirates. As the Marines attack, Luffy and the others escape in the scuffle, leaving behind battered and bloody Jango and Fullbody, who were caught in the crossfire.
Hidden among the Marines is Buggy the Clown, impersonating a low-ranking soldier. Hina orders the Marines to chase the pirates. Jango and Fullbody attack Luffy, but he dodges them, causing them to hit each other accidentally. Luffy punches a pack of Marines away as the rest of the crew enters to back them up. Suddenly, Smoker arrives and pins Luffy with his Seastone jitte. The Marines surround the Straw Hat Pirates, but Buggy reveals himself, having come to claim the treasure the Marines had spread rumors about. Buggy seizes a Marine cannon and aims to destroy both the Marines and the Straw Hat Pirates with it.
As Buggy and his crew prepare the cannon, Out of nowhere, Mr. 2 Bon Kurei, riding on Karoo's back, runs in and tramples Buggy. Karoo gets over-excited and acts out of control. Chopper has medicine for him, which Usopp shoots to Mr. 2 with his Emergency Star (救急星, Kyūkyū Hoshi?). Mr. 2 accidentally eats it himself and falls asleep, as Karoo runs off.
Buggy tries to fire his cannon, but he is interrupted once again, this time by Portgas D. Ace. Ace greets the Straw Hat Pirates and falls asleep while trying to talk, irritating Buggy further. With Ace's support, the Straw Hat Pirates launch their own offensive. Zoro gets into a fighting stance and Buggy runs away. Zoro and Sanji battle the Marines, defeating Jango and Fullbody respectively. During the battles, Hina approaches Robin and asks her about Baroque Works. Robin traps her with Dieciséis Fleur. Hina escapes and charges Robin, only to have her arm pinned behind her back.
Buggy returns to the fight, but Ace shoots fire at him. Buggy jumps into a Marine cannon and is launched out of it by one of his crew. He crashes but quickly gets up from the rubble and tries to run away. Ace leaves, and the Marines try to chase after the pirates. They are stopped by the raging storm and are forced to retreat.[4][5]
