One Piece Strong Words: Book 1 and Book 2 are two books which list quotes from throughout the first 61 volumes of the One Piece series, with analysis on common themes such as "departure", "fight", "resolution", "wisdom", and "goodbye". They contain commentary by Tatsuru Uchida (内田樹, Uchida Tatsuru?), a Japanese essayist, literary researcher, and a professor at Kobe College. Each quote also includes the manga panel that it originates from, and sometimes the surrounding panels with context.
A Mirai Bunko version of the two Strong Words books released alongside One Piece Strong Words 2, compiling the two books into one. Instead of the different themes, the Mirai Bunko version listed all quotes in the order they occurred.

Each book contains a foreword by Eiichiro Oda. Every chapter has a title card featuring a specific character.
