One Piece Wafers

One Piece Wafers packages, collectable cards and a wafer.

One Piece Wafers (ワンピースウエハース, Wan Pīsu Uehāsu^?) is a brand of wafers produced by Bandai. Their main appeal comes from the fact that the packages include collectable One Piece cards. The first round of wafers was released in 2018, and since then ten rounds have been released in total.

Overview

The wafers contain vanilla cream filling. They remain unchanged in all the products, while the packaging and the collectable cards change. Each round of wafers has two or three different package designs, which has no bearing on the cards inside.

The collectable cards feature an illustration on the front side and information about the character on the back side. A rarity system was established from the second round onwards, ranking the cards as normal, rare or super rare. The fourth round introduced secret cards, which are the rarest and have special numbering. The eight round introduced a grand rare rank between super rare and secret. The rarity of the card affects its quality, with rarer cards featuring foil plating or holographic effects.

The rarity of a card is denoted on back with letters and on the front with stars.
