Pesca was on Silver Arrow Island when the Straw Hat Pirates arrived, and he acted relieved to see Atoli safe, welcoming them into the town. He joined them when they accessed the archive's in Atoli's home, learning details about Rainbow Island in the process.

Once they read everything they could, the group split up, with Pesca and Atoli going to set up a place to sleep. However, Pesca actually just wanted to isolate Atoli. He attempted to kidnap her, but was interrupted by the Straw Hats, forcing him to leave pirates behind as he ran away with her.

Pesca returned to the Drayke Pirates' ship, having brought the documents they studied and Atoli. He was congratulated by Drayke, but before they could leave, the Straw Hats caught up to them, forcing Pesca to fight them with Reira and Dolce, two of his crewmates. They stalled long enough for the Drayke Pirates to set sail, escaping the Straw Hats.

When the Drayke Pirates split up to find the herbs necessary for the Ryuumonkou, Pesca and Dolce went to Festa Circle to retrieve the Doriano.

After Pasta ran out of the pageant, Pesca kidnapped her, holding her hostage in exchange for the Fisherman's Emblem. As they left, they pointed out that they now knew the locations of all three herbs, and could go back and get them whenever they needed to. They also revealed that they had decoded the location of Rainbow Island, and Drayke was already on his way with Atoli.

Having recovered their herb, Dolce and Pesca returned to the Drayke Pirates' ship, and the crew sailed to Rainbow Island. Along with his other crew members, Pesca was waiting for the Straw Hats when they left Rainbow Castle, and watched as Atoli demanded the Fisherman's Emblem. When Dias refused to hand it over, Pesca and Kaabo took Atoli away, announcing to the Straw Hats that they would kill her at noon if Dias didn't give them the Emblem.

A few hours later, after Atoli escaped her confinement with Dias, they were ambushed by the Drayke Pirates, Pesca included. They who immobilized the two kids and took Dias' Fisherman's Emblem, allowing Drayke to merge the three emblems together. He then ordered his executives to beat Dias to near death, which Pesca did, and forced Atoli to tell him the Scripture. No longer needing Dias, Drayke ordered his subordinates to kill him, but they were interrupted by the Straw Hat Pirates.

The Straw Hats knocked back the executives one by one, forcing Drayke and them to retreat. As they ran, Drayke promised a reward to whichever lower-ranked subordinate defeated the Straw Hats, but they were quickly defeated. Pesca then convinced Drayke to retreat and get the Rainbow Eye, leaving the six executives to slow down the Straw Hats.
