Personality[]

Pokori is a polite and kind person, helping strangers like the Straw Hat Pirates and repairing their ship for free. He loves construction and dreams of building his "dream ship". He does not like weaponizing ships and refused to help Dandelion use a battleship for conquest. He is quite brave and quick-thinking at times.[1]

Abilities and Powers[]

Pokori is a skilled shipwright, building his own ship and being able to repair a heavily damaged Going Merry relatively fast. He was also able to restore the colossal battleship to working condition after it had been sunken for some time. Dandelion took note of his skills and wanted to recruit Pokori.[1]

Ship[]

Pokori had a ship that he planned to turn into his "dream ship". It had a cannon for shooting fireworks and claw-like arms for grabbing things (planned to be swings in the final version). It was still incomplete, and was eventually destroyed when Dandelion shot it with the cannons of the colossal battleship. However, the keel survived, making it possible for Pokori to rebuild it in the future.[1]

History[]

Past[]

Sometime in the past, Pokori discovered a book which described a great ship. This inspired him to build his own "dream ship".[1]

Grand Line Dream Adventure Log[]

Pokori came across the Straw Hat Pirates when they were stranded at sea on a broken Going Merry and towed them to Croissant Island. He repaired the ship for free and gave the crew an Eternal Pose to Twin Cape as they had lost both their Eternal Pose and Log Pose. Soon after the Straw Hats had left, Pokori noticed a number of ships at the coast of the island, trying to pull up the "Crescent Rock". A man named Dandelion introduced himself the leader of a research group who trying to investigate a great ship that sunken there; The "Crescent Rock" was actually a part of this giant ship. Pokori agreed to help them and together they salvaged the ship. Pokori repaired the ship to working condition, but it was actually a powerful battleship which Dandelion planned to use to conquer the Grand Line. When Pokori discovered Dandelion's true intentions, he refused to help any further and escaped, but was injured by the Flower Angel forces.

Pokori was hiding at his dock when the Straw Hat Pirates returned and defeated the Flower Angel officers that were after him. Pokori explained what had happened, and the group attempted to invade the battleship while it still lacked the necessary elements for it to move. However, a barrier had been placed around the battleship by Mirage which made it impossible for them to pinpoint its exact location, and they were bombarded by its cannons. Retreating back to Croissant Island, they group decided to split up with Pokori remaining on Croissant Island to try and figure out the secret behind the barrier, while the Straw Hat Pirates tried to find the "thoroughly hard object" which the battleship still needed in order to move, before Flower Angel found it.

Pokori eventually figured out that Mirage's barrier worked by scent hypnosis and left a note for the Straw Hat Pirates. He stormed the giant battleship alone but was captured and brought to the bridge, where Dandelion tried to convince him to join forces in order to make use of Pokori's shipwright expertise. The Straw Hat Pirates soon raided the vessel and made their way to the bridge. Dandelion reminded Pokori that the boy had originally helped salvage and repair the ship, stating that it was Pokori's "dream ship". Pokori refused to help Dandelion, so Dandelion aimed the battleship's cannons at Croissant Island and destroyed Pokori's own ship. Pokori then attempted to steer the battleship into a giant whirlpool, but Dandelion beat him down. Pokori then watched as the Straw Hats fought and defeated Dandelion. After Dandelion destroyed the bridge with the main battery, Pokori left the scene and secretly went to replace the ammunition with fireworks. He returned to the destroyed bridge just as the Straw Hats Pirates had finished defeating Dandelion a second time. He and the Straw Hats then escaped the sinking battleship on the Going Merry. Dandelion tried to attack them one last time at sea, but this simply caused a fireworks display due to Pokori's trick.

Pokori and the Straw Hats returned to Croissaint Island where Pokori discovered that the keep of his ship had survived, making it possible to rebuild it. He bid farewell to Straw Hat Pirates and they resumed their journey to Arabasta.[1]

Great Hidden Treasure of the Nanatsu Islands[]

Pokori traveled to the Nanatsu Islands to seek inspiration for his dream ship from the ancient ruins. On Itsu Island, he discovered what had happened to the Straw Hat Pirates and repaired the broken Going Merry. The Straw Hat Pirates later met him on Fu Island where he was studying the island's ruins. Pokori talked with the crew, stating that he had not found any inspiration for his dream ship yet, but would continue to study the ruins for a while longer.[2]

Aim! The King of Belly[]

Pokori appeared running a boathouse, where the Straw Hat Pirates could make upgrades to their boats.[3]
