Ripley is a giant from Elbaph and the mother of Colon. She is a warrior who also works as a biology teacher at the Walrus School.[1]
Appearance[]
Ripley is a giant woman of slender figure. Her most noticeable trait is a streamlined tattoo that runs down the whole left side of her body, from her left temple to her left foot. She has long, light hair arranged in braids at the front, with bangs partially covering the right side of her face.
Ripley wears a dark tank top with a horned Jolly Roger design imprinted on it, a fur cape, a short skirt held up by leather belts and fuzzy boots wrapped in bands.
Personality and Relationships[]
Ripley is a laid-back woman who does not care about personal manners and freely uses rude language, in spite of hypocritically reprimanding bad behavior among her students. Ripley is also a follower of the late king Harald's teachings, which prioritize peace and trading among countries instead of war and conquest.
Like many giants, Ripley shows interest in Nika.[1]
Colon[]
Colon is Ripley's son, so the two are very close. Due to her personal belief in Elbaph's warrior traditions, Ripley teaches her son to follow them, largely shaping Colon's own personality and beliefs.[3]
Powers and Abilities[]
As a giant, Ripley has immense physical strength. She is also a trained fighter, being part of Elbaph's latest generation of warriors.
As a biology teacher, Ripley likely has enough knowledge of her subject matter in order to properly teach it to her students.
History[]
Final Saga[]
Elbaph Arc[]
Ripley was present at the Walrus School when the Straw Hat Pirates greeted Saul. When the school's children chased the Straw Hats around, the pirates ended up on top of Ripley, who explained that the way of the warrior was in decline in Elbaph due to Harald's belief in fair trade. She asked Luffy about his Nika transformation, but was confused when he simply replied it was his "appearance when free".[1]
When her son Colon arrived at the Walrus School and attacked Luffy, Ripley scolded him, but complimented his sword swing. After Colon mentioned that his father is human, Ripley explained their relationship to the Straw Hats.[3]
Trivia[]
- Like many giants from Elbaph, Ripley appears to be named after a famous wrestler; in her case, Rhea Ripley.
