Roronoa Arashi was the son of Shimotsuki Furiko and Roronoa Pinzoro making him a member of the Shimotsuki Family. He is the father of Roronoa Zoro and the husband of Tera.[1]

Arashi was born in the Shimotsuki Village to a local swordsman named Pinzoro and a Wano Country emigrant named Furiko. At some point, he married the daughter of a bandit, named Tera. Twenty-one years ago they had a son named Roronoa Zoro, sometime after, Arashi later died in a battle with pirates.[1]

  • Arashi (嵐, アラシ?) refers to three matching dice in Japanese dice games. This follows the gambling-themed names of Zoro's relatives.
