The Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Spinosaurus is an Ancient Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform into a spinosaurus hybrid and a full spinosaurus at will. It was eaten by Page One.[1]
Ryū (竜?) is Japanese for "dragon" and can be found in the Japanese term for "dinosaur", kyōryū (恐竜?).
Strengths and Weaknesses
The major strength of this fruit is that it allows the user to turn into a spinosaurus, a large and powerful predator from the prehistoric era. This makes the fruit well-suited for combat purposes, since carnivorous Zoans are said to be fiercer fighters than non-carnivorous ones.[2] The fruit gives its user tremendous strength, particularly in their jaw and tail, as shown when Page One smashed and tore apart buildings in the Flower Capital with ease.[3]
No weaknesses are currently known aside from the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.
Usage
Currently, Page One has not been seen outside of his spinosaurus form. He uses this fruit to great effect during combat and when going on the offensive, as shown when he went on a destructive rampage through the Flower Capital to look for Sanji.[3]
Trivia
Spinosauruses were semi-aquatic creatures, but the user of this fruit cannot utilize this ability given that Devil Fruit users have a weakness towards water. The fruit shares this aspect with the Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Anaconda and Sara Sara no Mi, Model: Axolotl.
