Saitank[3] is a Gifter in the Beasts Pirates' Armored Division.[1] During the Raid on Onigashima, he was tamed by the power of the Kibi Kibi no Mi and joined the side of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance.[2]

Appearance[]

Saitank is a muscular man with a square jaw. He wears a light green helmet with spikes in the middle, a sleeveless fur coat with a jewelled chain, metal shoulder plates, a pair of white gloves, and a belt. From the waist down, he is fused to a large rhinoceros, with a metal brace on its horn and a tattoo of a skull with horns on its forehead. On the rhino's back, behind Saitank's upper body, is a large chair with the word "SASAKI" written on it, which Sasaki uses as a throne when commanding the Armored Division.

Personality[]

Saitank appears to be very loyal to the Beasts Pirates, and does not seem to have a problem with firing on Kouzuki Momonosuke, a child.[1] In the anime, he appears to be cold-hearted, laughing alongside the rest of the Armored Division when Sasaki made fun of the Kouzuki Family.[4]

Abilities and Powers[]

Devil Fruit[]

Main article: SMILE

As a Gifter, Saitank has eaten a Rhino SMILE (サイのSMILEスマイル, Sai no Sumairu?), giving him a massive rhinoceros fused to his waist that replaces his legs. His human torso appears to be growing out from behind the rhinoceros' neck.[3]

Weapons[]

During the Raid on Onigashima, Saitank wielded two pistols, and he appears to be experienced with using them.[1]

History[]

Wano Country Saga[]

Wano Country Arc[]

During the Raid on Onigashima, the Beasts Pirates's Armored Division, under Sasaki's command, pursued Kouzuki Momonosuke and Shinobu, and Saitank participated both as a member of the Division and as Sasaki's steed. Before Usunoro could kill Shinobu, Yamato knocked him aside and defended Momonosuke.[1][5] The Armored Division surrounded their three targets and fired shots from behind their shields; however, Yamato continued blocking their shots and taking down more members. The fight was interrupted by the arrival of Franky and Hatcha, the latter of whom smashed a hole in the floor, through which Yamato, Momonosuke, and Shinobu escaped.[6] Franky stayed behind to occupy the Armored Division.[7]

During Franky's fight with Sasaki, members of the Armored Division leapt onto General Franky's body to hold him still, with Scorpionlady grabbing its right knee. A crowd of Gifters, who had been tamed with Tama's dango, swarmed in and freed Franky, narrowly avoiding Sasaki's charge. Usopp then fired dango into the mouths of the Armored Division, including Saitank's, and Tama ordered all of them to follow her, which they did enthusiastically.[8]
