The seafloor (海底,kaitei?) is the bottom of the ocean. Despite the lack of oxygen and the immense water pressure, there are many locations on the sea floor. After escaping from the Marines following the events of the Arlong Park Arc, Hatchan begins an adventure on the sea floor, visiting different locations and meeting many people.
In pirate folklore, the Sea Floor is sometimes referred to as Davy Jones' Locker (デービー・ジョーンズのロッカー,Dēbī Jōnzu no Rokkā?) and is where the legendary pirate Davy Jones supposedly lives.
