Infobox Image[edit source]

I suggest to take the first panel on page 6 of chapter 762 (Gladius talking about Amber Lead) as the infobox image.

Actually, I thought the image where they were digging for it would be more appropriate. After all, the one you suggested shows money amongst the pottery. Yata Talk to me 04:51, October 3, 2014 (UTC)

I think we need to show the actual material in the image, and whichever one does it better. JustSomeDude...  Talk | 05:01, October 3, 2014 (UTC)

Amber Lead Syndrome[edit source]

Should we make a separate page for the disease? Since it is a sickness. Yata Talk to me 04:51, October 3, 2014 (UTC)

Nah, I think the way we've got it is fine. JustSomeDude...  Talk | 05:01, October 3, 2014 (UTC)

The word syndrome refers to failure in the chromosomes. This case is a poisoning, so it would be more appropriate to translate it as Amber Lead Disease. The kanji 病 refers to any disease, not specifically to a syndrome. Coutinho305 (talk) 16:27, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

More information about the disease[edit source]

The sickness' has the sames symptoms as one that existed in Japan, and some translation stuff is explained. There's a really big post about this, so I think I'll just post from where I got it.

We won't be adding that. It's a blog made by a random dude. SeaTerror (talk) 16:48, October 8, 2014 (UTC)

Sicknesses Category[edit source]

I see discussion about creating a page has already existed, though it was six years ago. I also see someone tried to add random categories. So I chose a talk page. If Amber Lead Syndrome is not going to have a page, shouldn't this one have the Sicknesses category? That category is for all named diseases and this is a named disease, so it either gets a page or this one gets the category, in my opinion. StoopidGuy (talk) 16:32, August 4, 2020 (UTC)

A reasonable suggestion. I think adding this category should include pandemic level poisons too. Luffy had to survive Queen's poison that could be transmitted from person to person. Vash(talk) 16:37, August 4, 2020 (UTC)

Queen's Mummy Virus already has a page, which is included in the Sicknesses category. StoopidGuy (talk) 16:47, August 4, 2020 (UTC)

Ah thats what I get for assuming. Given that info I think it would be best to add the category because the article does talk heavily about it, actually more then the Amber Lead. Vash(talk) 17:02, August 4, 2020 (UTC)

You can't add the category to this article, because "Amber Lead" is a mineral, not a sickness. You could add it to the Amber Lead Syndrome redirect page, though. Awaikage Talk 17:04, August 4, 2020 (UTC)

"No categories for redirects"[edit source]

See other articles with disputed talk pages. Hey! Let's talk this out!

This is an active talk page. Please participate if you wish to make changes to the subject at hand. Remember to remain calm and civil throughout the discussion!

In this talk page it was decided to use the Amber Lead Syndrome redirect (that goes to the Amber Lead page) to have the Amber Lead Syndrome listed as a sickness. However, User:Rgilbert27 invoked a "No categories for redirects" rule, which I currently do not know the origin. If such rule exists or comes to exist, then the wiki would be lacking information, and the Category:Sicknesses would not be listing "all the named diseases". Therefore, either the redirect gets the category, or a page is created for the Amber Lead Syndrome. StoopidGuy (talk) 01:18, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

Yes, the Syndrome redirect should have the Sickness Category. That rule makes no sense since the redirect is already part of another category. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 02:04, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

What do you mean by "he invoked a rule?" He has no authority to do so, and that's my opinion as a content moderator. Unless it is a widely agreed upon rule or something decided by the leadership team, it is not a rule I'm aware of. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 02:26, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

Sorry, probably bad wording on my part. He used "No categories for redirects" as a reason to undo the edit, and I do not know the origin of that as a reason for anything, or as a rule, that's why I was hypothesizing about the rule's existence. StoopidGuy (talk) 03:04, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

No worries. Kage said it was okay to do in August, so the category should be added.Montblanc Noland :: Talk 04:12, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

He said could not should. The only categories on redirects should be the redirect categories. SeaTerror (talk) 22:11, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

Splitting the page into the substance and the sickness is also an option. And for who thinks the pages would be too short, see the Kona Tree and Tree Fever pages. I doubt they would be much different in byte size. Rhavkin (talk) 16:06, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
