Name origin[]

It seems the name was never stated in the episode. Where does it come from? leviathan_89 19:06, 7 October, 2015 (UTC)

The only possibility, if it's not the episode itself, is One Piece Rainbow!, but I do not have access to that book. leviathan_89 19:13, 14 October, 2015 (UTC)

The island has an entry in Rainbow on pg 88, but not that name:

花火大会が名物の島 or "The Island that's Famous for its Fireworks Displays". Sounds awfully conjectural to me. 104.238.32.108 14:28, October 18, 2015 (UTC)

If so, then gone with this page. I didn't watch the filler episode, so I wouldn't know too much about this. Yata Talk to me 01:45, October 23, 2015 (UTC)

Pretty sure it was stated in the episode. Been years since I've seen it though. SeaTerror (talk) 03:31, October 23, 2015 (UTC)

http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/onep/character/fireworks/ Its name is Fireworks. Not Fireworks Island. --Klobis (talk) 04:01, October 23, 2015 (UTC)

Sounds good to me, use it, and add a correct citation for the name. JustSomeDude...  Talk | 04:46, October 23, 2015 (UTC)

You should probably also keep the "Island" redirect just in case anyways. An island called "Fireworks" is basically still called "Fireworks Island", right? uknownada Talk 04:54, October 23, 2015 (UTC)

@ST: it wasn't stated in the episode, that's why I opened the discussion about it. If I happened to have overlooked it, plz post the time when it's stated.
@Klobis: that sounds quite weird, can you translate what the site says exactly?

Btw, is there anyone who knows where I can find the raws of the 3 anime guidebooks? I tried to search for them but only found dead links. leviathan_89 04:58, 23 October, 2015 (UTC)

Its Japanese name is transliteration: ファイアーワークス Faiā Wākusu = Fire Works. [1] #134 says A port town where fireworks festival is held once a year. --Klobis (talk) 12:50, October 25, 2015 (UTC)

Does it have to have a space? Shouldn't it be simply "Fireworks"? Looking at the table, I believe we also don't have the island of the second TV special, "kaiju" and the one from he Ocean's dream arc, "Kioku". leviathan_89 14:19, 25 October, 2015 (UTC)

Both Fireworks and Fire Works are correct since it is Japanese. TV SP 2 island is 貝獣島, and that kioku is island of memory loss (it is not a name). --Klobis (talk) 00:32, October 26, 2015 (UTC)

I'm renaming then.  Staw-Hat Luffy  Talk  12:40, October 30, 2015 (UTC)

Since "Fireworks" is also ok, isn't it better? leviathan_89 12:47, 30 October, 2015 (UTC)

Yep sorry didnt catch that.  Staw-Hat Luffy  Talk  13:18, October 30, 2015 (UTC)

I realize I'm too late to the party, but calling it "Fireworks" is going to be misleading as hell.DancePowderer Talk 16:59, October 30, 2015 (UTC)

You mean like saying "There is a fireworks festival on Fireworks"? :D Well, we don't have any other article named "Fireworks" so wiki-wise should not be a problem. leviathan_89 17:35, 30 October, 2015 (UTC)

People might also think it's about fireworks. Errant and unlikely, yes, but still should be considered.DancePowderer Talk 17:44, October 30, 2015 (UTC)

I don't think using "Fireworks island" in the text is wrong... would be like saying "Elbaf island" or "Zo island". The dicussione here was about the page name. leviathan_89 18:06, 30 October, 2015 (UTC)
