Honey Queens "inferior" Logia Edit

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with some statements concerning Honey Queens Logia abilities.

- First statement: liquid-based logias are unable to cause mass destruction.

Thats actually not necessarily true and very speculative. It could also be said that Honey Queen is simply not trained in her devil fruit abilities (like Luffy in his early days as a DF user, or Smoker, who wasn't able to turn into smoke by reflex).

Also, take Magellan for example. While he isn't a logia, his liquid based paramecia is able to cause mass destruction (venom demon). I see no reason why a liquid logia wouldn't technically be able to develop similar destructive powers.

- Second statement: liquid based logias are by default inferior because they can be captured in barrels etc.

While this is definitely a weakness, it doesn't make them inferior to other logias per se. It gives them advantages too, like allowing a special way of traveling. Also, other logias suffer similar weaknesses, like Smoker being easily blown away by the sudden storm in mock town.

So before i go ahead and edit the article, do I miss something here? Thanks for your opinion Jinbe 23:45, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

I would have more of a problem if it was mentioned on the Devil Fruit article or the Logia article. Since this is filler I guess people assume too much? SeaTerror 07:34, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

It is considered inferior because it has absolutely no offensive capabilities. Honey Queen seemed to use it more as a means of getting around than for actual combat, and the one time she did use it for combat, it did very little, if anything, to help her. What ever her element, it was basically the same consistency as water or lemonade, so it would not have that much power to start with.DancePowderer 07:52, January 15, 2011 (UTC)

Yea indeed SeaTerror, I'm certainly not going to make a biggie out of this (it is a filler fruit ability after all). Still, people read the article and might come to wrong conclusions (like the general statement that liquid based logias are inferior).

And DancePowderer, I fully agree with you that Honey Queen uses her power mainly for traveling purposes. Thats my point - it seems to be Honey Queens problem, not the devil fruits. It would match her character that she doesn't care about her abilities (and we know that devil fruits need/can be trained). Imagine that a person other than Luffy consumed the gomu gomu no Mi. In his early days Luffy couldn't even keep his limbs together - Ace even mocked him how that power can be useful. I don't have to explain his current mastery of the fruit to make my point clear...: question the user, not the fruit (and especially not the whole category of liquid logias).Jinbe 09:33, January 15, 2011 (UTC)
