GenderEdit

How do we know that Izou is a male? The Pope 14:38, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Look at Izou's chest and know that it's a trap.Mugiwara Franky 15:37, June 4, 2010 (UTC)
there are alot of flat-chested women or it could be a slight mistake. Don't tell you're judging the gender on this picture alone
In real life, there are indeed flat-chested women. However, I'm pretty sure none of them have very masculine looking chests. There are also several other scenes of Izou that show his gender not just this single pic.Mugiwara Franky 13:14, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
Let's not forget his voice. Gunji 22:41, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
This is One Piece. All the female characters in the manga have visible breasts, even when they're not huge. Chanpuruuu (talk) 19:43, July 3, 2014 (UTC)

How do we know any of that information?Edit

What the fuck is going on with this character? Oda never said her name, the division shes the head of or what division she is even in. You all need to erase that information about her because non of it is right at all.

Look at the SBS volume 58 page. As for his gender, the link in the conversation above should show that Izou is a man.DancePowderer 00:59, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Okama? Edit

Maybe Izo is an okama? Cdavymatias (talk) 20:25, October 28, 2017 (UTC)

No. He grew up as a kabuki actor/dancer as shown in his childhood pics. He probably wears it to remember his family tradition. --SpikeDragonLord (talk) 16:51, May 12, 2018 (UTC)

I agree, not an okama.Montblanc Noland :: Talk 17:18, May 12, 2018 (UTC)

How come he doesn't qualify as an okama?  Drivebladesman (talk) 18:46, April 19, 2019 (UTC)

Kabuki actors play both male and female characters. Izo probably wears a dress because of tradition or habit as SpikeDragonLord said. Many One Piece characters wear bizarre outfits so Izo is not special in this case. Cdwp22 (talk) 19:06, April 19, 2019 (UTC)
